Arijana Podgajski was crowned Miss Universe Croatia 2022 in a glittering competition held at the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb on Monday, May 23. The 19-year-old economics student and model from Krapina bested 12 other finalists to win her beauty title. She speaks English, likes to train at home, practice yoga, walk in nature, and read a good book. Klaudija Krezić from Sesvete and Veronika Đerek from Ivanić Grad were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Antonela Zvonković was awarded Miss Congeniality. The new Miss Universe Croatia succeeds Ora Antonia Ivanišević and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Mexicana Universal 2022: Irma Miranda of Sonora to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022

Irma Miranda, representative of the state of Sonora, was crowned Mexicana Universal 2022 (Miss Universe Mexico 2022) at the Centro de Convenciones de San Luis Potosí (San Luis Potosi Convention Center) on Saturday, May 21. The 25-year-old TV host and business administration graduate bested 31 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds Débora Hallal of Sinaloa and will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022 later this year. Itzía Garcia of Colima clinched the title Mexicana International 2023 (Miss International Mexico 2023) and will be sent to next year's Miss International pageant in Japan. Chinese-Canadian Amelia Tu triumphed over 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Canada 2022 in a national competition held on Thursday, May 14 at the Meridian Arts Centre in Toronto. The 20-year-old biology and business student at Universe of California, Berkeley hails from Vancouver, BC. Daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez, Michelle Dee bagged 6 special awards in the recently held Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminary competition at The Cove Manila. The 27-year-old beauty representing Makati City took home the Miss Kumuniverse, Miss Cream Silk, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss SavePoint, and Miss The Medical City special awards from the major sponsors. Michelle is an independent candidate (no pageant camp affiliation) and is currently one of the front-runners in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 final. No stranger to pageantry, she was a former Miss World Philippines titleholder and placed in the Top 12 at Miss World 2019. A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. It features the South Sea Pearl, the national gem of the Philippines. A new queen will wear the illustrious masterpiece during the final competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 this April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. A transgender woman, Solange Dekker, made history after entering the Top 10 of Miss Nederland 2022 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2022) in a casting held in Amsterdam on Saturday, April 16. Another beauty was surprisingly added to the official Top 70 contestants of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 competition. The emotional announcement was made during the first episode of the reality TV show "I am Miss Universe Vietnam 2022" which aired on Saturday, April 16. Do Nhat Ha from Ho Chi Minh City made history as the first-ever transgender woman to be accepted as an official contestant after she received an honorary golden ticket from the organizing committee. The Top 70 official contestants who are vying for the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 have been officially announced. Every Saturday starting April 16, the "I am Miss Universe Vietnam 2022" reality TV show will air on VTV9, local channels, and exclusively on the UNI NETWORK Youtube channel. The first episode "CATCH YOUR CHANCE" will start at 8:15 p.m. local time. Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 final competition will take place this June and the winner will represent Vietnam at the 71st Miss Universe edition (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization has already announced April 30 as the official date for the coronation night of this year's national competition. The application process has also been officially opened. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 and under 28 years old at the time of the pageant, a Filipino citizen and Philippines passport holder, female, never been married, and never have been pregnant. No minimum height is required.
