Miss Ghana 2022 is Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo

Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo was crowned Miss Ghana 2022 (Miss World Ghana) on Sunday, August 14 at The Avenue Event Centre by Unique Floral (East Airport) in Accra. Rocklyn Krampah and Irene Vanessa Vifah were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Ghana, a 22-year-old school teacher from Adidome, also bagged the Beauty With A Purpose, Miss Fitness, Top Model, and Best Talent awards. Miriam succeeds Miss Ghana 2020 Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui and will represent her country at the 71st Miss World edition. "Few weeks ago I was just a young girl from Adidome with big dreams. Today, I woke up as [Miss Ghana] 2022," she wrote in a statement on social media after winning her title. Cassia Sharpley, 21, from Windhoek, bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2022 on Friday, August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. Leoné Van Jaarsveld, 26, from Swakopmund was named first runner-up while Diana Andimba, 23, from Windhoek finished as second runner-up. The new Miss Namibia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a poverty eradication activist, Cassia founded the Honey Comb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community. Last year's winner, Chelsi Shikongo, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the competition. Miss World Vietnam 2022 is Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong

Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2022 on Friday, August 12 at MerryLand Quy Nhon in the province of Binh Dinh. The 22-year-old beauty from Dong Nai province bested 36 other contestants to win her national title. She will represent her country at the 71st Miss World competition. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc and Nguyen Phuong Nhi were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh and Nguyen Thuy Linh completed the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss World Vietnam is no stranger to pageantry. She won Miss Dong Nai University 2018 in her first pageant and placed in the Top 5 in Miss Vietnam 2020. This year's competition was the second edition of the Miss World Vietnam pageant. Miss Mundo Brasil 2022 is Letícia Frota of Amazonas

Miss Amazonas, Letícia Frota, edged out 35 other contestants to win Miss Mundo Brasil 2022 (Miss World Brazil) on Thursday, August 4 in Águas Claras, Brasília (Distrito Federal). The 20-year-old student will now prepare to represent Brazil at the 71st Miss World pageant whose date and venue are yet to be announced. Gabrielle Flávia Araújo of Espírito Santo was named first princess and Ana Carolina Manginelli of São Paulo finished as a second princess. The representatives of Recôncavo Baiano, Isabella Gregorutti, and Rio Grande do Norte, Thuany Cristine de Medeiros, were the third and fourth princesses, respectively. Miss Namibia 2022: Get to know the Top 12 finalists

The Miss Namibia 2022 national competition is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday, August 12. A total of 12 finalists are vying for the national title currently held by Chelsi Shikongo, who represented Namibia during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel last December. The Miss Namibia organization currently holds the right to send Namibian representatives to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Teen International competitions. Last year's first runner-up Annerie Maré was named Miss World Nambia 2021 and went on to compete during 70th Miss World in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Miss Botswana 2022 Top 30 official contestants announced

The Top 30 contestants who will be vying for the title of Miss Botswana 2022 have been officially announced by the organizers. Entries for the national competition closed on July 28 and a selection panel had a tough job narrowing down all applicants to just 30. The organizers also announced that the Top 15 will be determined by how the contestants perform by public vote, the selection panel, gym session, and the photography session. Four contestants with the most likes, shares, and comments on their pictures on the Miss Botswana official Facebook page will progress to the Top 15. This year's final competition is expected to take place in September and last year's winner Palesa Molefe, who placed in the Top 40 during the 70th Miss World edition, will relinquish her crown to her successor at the end of the event. Miss Iraq 2022 is Balsam Hussein

Balsam Hussein was crowned Miss Iraq 2022 in a glittering competition held last Thursday, July 28 in Erbil, the capital and most populated city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The 26-year-old TV presenter who was born and raised in Baghdad is expected to represent her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. Sarah Saad and Jihan Majid were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Hind Akram and Sarah Khaled completed the Top 5 finalists. The Miss Iraq pageant was founded in 1947 but was suspended for over 40 years from 1973 until 2015 due to political and armed conflict in the country. Lucy Sophia Thomson bested 10 other finalists to be crowned Miss Scotland 2022 on Friday, July 29 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. The 23-year-old beauty representing Fife from Dunfermline succeeds last year's winner Claudia Todd and will represent Scotland at the 71st Miss World pageant. Olivia McPike from Kirkintilloch and Ailsa Black from Edinburgh were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A 20-year-old journalism student from Kfarchouba, Yasmina Zaytoun, won Miss Lebanon 2022 in Beirut on Sunday, July 24. Seventeen contestants participated in the national competition which was held after a 4-year hiatus. Maya Reaidy who won in 2018 and went on to compete during the 67th Miss Universe edition in Bangkok, crowned her successor at the end of the event. The runners-up were Maya Aboul Hosn (first runner-up), Jacintha Rached (second runner-up), Lara Hraoui (third runner-up), and Dalal Hoballah (fourth runner-up). Former Miss USA Rima Fakih, who is now the national director of Miss Universe Lebanon, announced that the winner will be sent to the next edition of Miss Universe and Miss World. The 58th Femina Miss India pageant was held on Sunday, July 3 at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. A 21-year-old Bharatanatyam dancer from Karnataka, Sini Shetty, bested 29 other contestants to win the title of Femina Miss India 2022. Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh were respectively named the first and second runners-up while Gargee Nandy and Pragnya Ayyagari completed the Top 5 finalists. Last year's winner and 70th Miss World Top 13 placer, Manasa Varanasi, crowned her successor at the end of the event. Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss Mondo Italia 2022 is Rebecca Arnone

Valle d'Aosta representative, Rebecca Arnone, was crowned Miss Mondo Italia 2022 (Miss World Italy 2022) in a glittering competition held on Saturday, June 18 at Villa dei Fiori in Gallipoli. The 19-year-old model and biological sciences student at the University of Turin succeeds last year's winner Claudia Motta. Apart from modeling since the age of 15, she enjoys spending her free time with her closest friends, painting, and writing. She loves listening to metal-rock music and is a fan of the Italian rock band Måneskin. Composing short stories is what she considers her greatest passion. Rebecca is expected to represent Italy at the 71st Miss World pageant, whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Italy has yet to win the Miss World pageant since its first participation in 1954. The country's highest placement was first runner-up (second place) with Giorgia Palmas in 2000.
