Teresa Sara to represent Angola at Miss International 2023

Former Miss Grand Angola, Teresa Sara, was crowned Miss International Angola 2023 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, September 16 in Luanda. The 26-year-old model, social volunteer, philanthropist, and lawyer received her crown from Stephany Amado, Miss International 2022 first runner-up from Cape Verde. No stranger to pageantry, Teresa took part in Miss Universe Angola 2022 where she represented Zaire and placed in the Top 10. She was then appointed to compete in the 10th Miss Grand International pageant last October in Indonesia. The new Miss International Angola will now represent her country at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan this coming October. Miss Grand Angola 2023 is Eugénia das Neves

Eugénia das Neves was crowned Miss Grand Angola 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 2 at the Epic Sana Hotel in Luanda. The 24-year-old mechanical engineering graduate from Luanda is currently working as an administrative assistant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Teresa Sara and will represent Angola at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. Jacira Saiombo and Airania Dias were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Roberta Capule Paulo and Angélica Varela rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Ten contestants took part in the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Angola pageant. The event was hosted by Mister Angola 2017 Bráulio Anderson and Miss Angola 2014 Whitney Shikongo. Miss Universe Angola 2023 is Ana Coimbra

Miss Angola Diáspora, Ana Bárbara Da Silva Coimbra, was crowned Miss Angola Universo 2023 (Miss Universe Angola 2023) on Saturday, July 22 at the Hotel de Convenções de Talatona - HCTA in Luanda. The 23-year-old model and project manager who holds a bachelor's degree in economics will now prepare to represent Angola at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador. Tatiana Manuel of Bengo and Eliane Cavelho of Namibe were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Fernanda Trombeta of Cunene and Jumara Sebastião of Huambo were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Completing the Top 10 semifinalists were Daniela Soares of Benguela, Andreia Muhito of Bié, Jessica Luís of Huíla, Maura Cango of Luanda, and Elmira Pascoal of Uíge. Miss Angola Mundo 2022 is Florinda José of Benguela

Florinda José was crowned Miss Angola Mundo 2022 (Miss World Angola) in a national competition held on Friday, November 11 in Luanda. The 21-year-old education science student from Benguela succeeds last year's titleholder Ruth Carlos and will now prepare to represent Angola at the 71st Miss World pageant. Pâmela Esteves and Jurema Chipato were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Angola has yet to win the Miss World pageant. Teresa Sara has been officially announced as Miss Grand Angola 2022 on Friday, September 9, and will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. The 25-year-old law graduate received her crown in an intimate ceremony from last year's titleholder Márcia de Menezes, who placed in the Top 20 at Miss Grand International 2021 and bagged the Best in National Costume award. This year's Miss Grand Angola is a model, jurist, philanthropist, social volunteer, entrepreneur, and business strategist. She represented Zaire at Miss Universe Angola 2022 where she placed in the Top 10 last month. Teresa is the third Angolan representative at the Thailand-based Miss Grand International pageant. Miss Universo Angola 2022 Swelia Da Silva Antonio completed her master's degree in international sociology with a GPA of 7.8 on Friday, August 26. The 25-year-old traveled all the way from Angola to the Netherlands in order to receive her diploma from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In her statements, the beauty queen was very happy about the great achievement and talked about her next steps, adding that after completing her degree, her ambition is to work as a diplomat. "For the time being, I do not intend to continue with academic education. But after my reign, I would like to graduate to be a diplomat or work in a ministry. For this, it will be necessary to continue my studies and learn a little more about this world," she said. Swelia Da Silva Antonio was crowned Miss Universo Angola 2022 (Miss Universe Angola 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela. The 24-year-old social scientist, from the Netherlands, bested 23 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds Miss Angola 2019 Salett Natalia Martins Miguel and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Yasser Coimbra of Bié and Nelma Tchissola of Cuanza Norte were respectively the first and second runners-up while Diana Mingas of Moxico and Mafalda Guilherme of Zaire completed the Top 5 finalists. Former Miss Universe from Angola, Leila Lopes, now holds the national license to send Angolan representatives to the Miss Universe pageant. The new Miss Universe Angola is no stranger to pageantry.
