Miss Universe Brazil 2023 'Iêda' crown officially unveiled

Miss Universe Brazil 2023 has officially kicked off with the preliminary swimsuit competition of the 27 contestants held on Wednesday, June 5 in São Paulo. A new crown "Iêda" was also unveiled at Vasto Restaurant in honor of the victory and legacy of Brazil's first Miss Universe Iêda Maria Vargas who won the coveted international title 60 years ago. Now age 78, the former beauty queen turned actress hailing from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul was proclaimed Miss Universe 1963 among 50 competitors in Miami Beach, Florida. She succeeded Norma Nolan of Argentina. An exquisite masterpiece of renowned jeweler Miguel Alcade, the new crown will be passed on to the new queen during the grand final and coronation of this year's Miss Universe Brazil this Saturday at Pátio Welucci. Miss Grand Brasil 2023 is Adriana Yanca

Adriana Yanca was crowned Miss Grand Brasil 2023 (Miss Grand Bazil 2023) in a national competition held on Saturday, June 10 at Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort & Convention in Foz Do Iguacu, Paraná. The 26-year-old dental surgeon representing Zona da Mata Mineira bested 27 other competitors to win the title. She will now represent Brazil at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. In second place and named Vice Miss Grand Brasil 2023 was Cinthya Moura of Pernambuco while Luciana Gomes of Tocantis placed third, Ana Finkler of Paraná placed fourth, and Júlia Castro of Minas Gerais placed fifth. Last year's winner and reigning Miss Grand International Isabella Menin crowned her successor for the national title at the culmination of the event. Miss Brasil Terra 2023 is Morgana Carlos of Sertão Central

Sertão Central representative Morgana Carlos was crowned Miss Brasil Terra 2023 (Miss Earth Brazil 2023) on May 1 at the World Trade Center Teater, Sheraton Hotel in São Paulo. The 27-year-old dentist from Ceará bested 23 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds Jéssica Pedroso, last year's winner who placed in the Top 12 at Miss Earth 2022. Jennifer Jaworski (Paraná), Larissa Pissinatto (Mato Grosso), and Bianca Becker (Distrito Federal) were named the elemental queens while Gabriella Serafim (Cerrado Goiano) rounded out the Top 5 finalists. No stranger to pageantry, Morgana participated in Miss Brasil Be Emotion 2016 (Miss Universe Brazil) while representing her home state and placed in the Top 5. The beauty queen touched down at São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport on Saturday, March 4 to a warm welcome from her fans and supporters. Miss Charm Brazil Luma Russo bested 37 other contestants to be crowned Miss Charm 2023 on Thursday, February 16 Hoa Binh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 27-year-old pilot and model made history by becoming the first-ever woman to win the Vietnam-based international beauty pageant. She also won a cash prize worth 100,000 US dollars. Former model, TV presenter, and Miss World Brazil Sancler Frantz has been officially announced as Miss Supranational Brasil 2023. The 31-year-old beauty succeeded last year's titleholder, Giovanna Reis, and will now prepare to represent Brazil at Miss Supranational 2023 in Poland. No stranger to pageantry, the Arroio do Tigre native participated in the Miss World 2013 pageant in Bali, Indonesia where she placed in the Top 5 and was awarded the Beach Beauty and Miss World America. Sancler is a biomedical esthetician, nutritionist, gastrologist, health coach, marketer, communicator, and actress, with a postgraduate degree in health and aesthetics, aesthetic nutrition and women's health, and natural and functional gastronomy. Isabella Menin of Brazil was crowned Miss Grand International 2022 in a glittering grand final competition held on Tuesday, October 25 at the Sentul International Convention Centre in Bogor, Indonesia. The 26-year-old model and entrepreneur beat 67 other contestants to win her country's first-ever golden crown. She succeeds last year's winner Nguyen Thuy Thuc Tien of Vietnam. Thailand's Engfa Waraha was named first runner-up while Indonesia's Andina Julie, Venezuela's Luiseth Materán, and Czech Republic's Mariana Bečková finished second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss São Paulo, Jessica Pedroso, bested 26 other contestants to be crowned Miss Brasil Terra 2022 (Miss Brazil Earth) on Wednesday, October 12 at the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel. The 23-year-old fashion model and bilingual teacher succeeds last year's titleholder Cássia Adriane Araújo and will now represent Brazil at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines come November. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Eduarda Van de Sand (Paraná), Larissa Han (Espírito Santo), and Juliana Rosa (Santa Catarina), who were respectively named Miss Brazil Air, Water and Fire, while Alana Santos (Ceará) placed fifth.
