A  22-year-old real estate agent, Jearmanda Ramos, has been officially announced as Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2022. Jearmanda hails from the province of Puerto Plata and holds a bachelor's degree in international business. She will now prepare to represent the Dominican Republic at the 10th Miss Grand International competition to be held in Indonesia this October. Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st edition of the prestigious Miss Universe pageant and there are so far four confirmed delegates who will be vying for the coveted title currently held by India's Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu. Here are the delegates from the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Kazakhstan, and Venezuela: Andreína Martinez, 24, of the Dominican Republic holds a degree in psychology and Latin American studies. She won her national title Miss República Dominicana Universo in November last year and was supposed to join the 70th Miss Universe competition in Israel but unfortunately, she tested positive for COVID-19 prior to her departure. Ghana's Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman is a 27-year-old professional model who represented the Ashanti Region at the Miss Universe Ghana 2022 competition held in December last year. Ruddy Batista from Distrito Nacional has been elected as Mister Supranational Dominican Republic 2022 on Friday, January 14 at the Patrick N. Hughson Auditorium in Santo Domingo. The 28-year-old succeeds Ivan Oleaga and will now prepare to represent his  Caribbean country at the Mister Supranational 2022 competition probably later this year in Poland. Miguel Robles and Michael Gómez were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Mister Supranational Dominican Republic holds a master's degree in international business and currently pursuing studies of law, economics, and political science. The Miss Earth organizers started releasing information on its national titleholders and official delegates who will be vying for the Miss Earth 2022 title. Meet the delegates from the Dominican Republic, USA, and Venezuela: Nieves Marcano, 25 years old, is the winner of the Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2021 pageant, and the Caribbean nation’s representative to Miss Earth 2022. She is a model, interior designer, actor, and host. The 2022 Miss Earth USA title was awarded to Natalia Salmon, an Asset Services Intern. She is the founder of Squad Limitless, an organization dedicated to working with children and young adults to empower them to discover their true identities and realize their full potential via developing their emotional intelligence. Andreína Martinez, representative of the Dominican community of the US, was crowned Miss República Dominicana Universo 2021 (Miss Dominican Republic Universe) on Sunday, November 7 at the Salón de Eventos Sambil in Santo Domingo. The 24-year-old beauty bested 14 other finalists to win the national competition. She succeeds Miss República Dominicana Universo 2020 and Miss Universe Top 5 finalist, Kimberly Jiménez. Miss Azua, Debbie Áflalo settled with a first runner-up finish while Miss Lavega, Yamilex Hernández was named the second runner-up. Miss Samaná, Elianny Capellán, and Miss La Romana, Érika Silverio, were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Duarte, Emmy Peña, was crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2021 (Miss World Dominican Republic) in a glistening national pageant held at the Barceló Grand Resort in Punta Cana on Saturday, September 4. The 24-year-old professional model from Duarte province bested 24 other beauties to win the competition. She succeeds Alba Marie Blair and will represent the Dominican Republic at the 70th Miss World pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December. As her Beauty with a Purpose project, Emmy is celebrating the diversity of people, especially those with Down Syndrome.
