The search is on for Miss Philippines Earth 2021

After successfully mounting its 20th-anniversary virtual pageant last year, Miss Philippines-Earth once again opens its doors to aspiring beauty queens and environmental advocates to take part in a life-changing experience. The nationwide search for the next wave of Beauties for a Cause is now open to Filipinas, 18 to 28 years old, high school graduate and of good moral standing, outstanding looks, and personality, at least 5’4” in height, with above-average communication skills, and knowledge on and concern for the environment. For its 21st edition, Miss Philippines-Earth takes on the theme “Colors of the Earth” to reflect the vast and unique biodiversity of the country. The theme also alludes to the brighter outlook on 2021 coming from a rather bleak 2020 due to the pandemic. Miss Earth USA 2021 is Marisa Butler of Maine

Miss Maine, Marisa Paige Butler, was crowned Miss Earth USA 2021 in a competition held on Sunday, January 17 at the Orange County Convention Center’s Linda Chapin Theater in Orlando, Florida. The 27-year-old financial advisor earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in business from Stonehill College. She was Miss Maine USA 2016 before winning the title of Miss World America 2018 and went on to compete in the Miss World 2018 pageant in Sanya, China. Alyssa Klinzing (California), Alyssa Magalong (Colorado), Kennedy Thomas  (Alabama), and C’yana Denby (East Coast) were awarded the elemental court titles of Miss Earth USA Air, Water, Fire, and Eco, respectively. Elite Miss Earth USA 2021 Nalicia Ramdyal of New York, Teen Miss Earth USA 2021 Katia Gerry of California, and Mrs. USA Earth 2021 Meredith Pope of Alabama were also crowned at the national event over the weekend. Miss Nepal 2020: Namrata Shrestha to represent Nepal at the 70th Miss World

Namrata Shrestha bested 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss Nepal World 2020 in a national competition held on Saturday, December 5. She succeeds last year’s titleholder, Anushka Shrestha. The 23-year-old sociology student and a kindergarten teacher will represent Nepal at the 70th Miss World pageant to be held in the last quarter of 2021. Sandhya Sharma, Supriya Shrestha, and Simal Kanaujiya were named Miss Nepal International, Miss Nepal Earth, and Miss Nepal Supranational, respectively, while Merisa Singh Suwal and Ayesha Shrestha completed the Top 6. Miss Earth 2020 is Lindsey Coffey of the USA

Lindsey Coffey of the USA bested 83 delegates to win Miss Earth 2020 in a virtual competition aired on Sunday, November 29. The 28-year-old fashion model who hails from Pennsylvania holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication arts. She became the first woman from the United States to win the coveted title. Stephany Zreik of Venezuela, Roxanne Allison Baeyens of the Philippines, and Michala Rubinstein of Denmark were the Top 4 finalists. They were named Miss Earth – Air, Miss Earth – Water, and Miss Earth – Fire, respectively. The Top 8 were the delegates from Myanmar, Amara Shune Lei, the Netherlands, Tessa le Conge, Poland, Sabina Półtawska, and Puerto Rico, Krystal Badillo.
