The inaugural edition of the Miss Zimbabwe Queen pageant will take place on Saturday, September 10 at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC). Former Miss Zimbabwe Brita Masalethulini will host the big show with Zimbabwean Radio DJ and businessman Tich Mataz while comedienne Madam Boss, fashion stylist Tafadzwa Zimoyo and fashion entrepreneur Hollywood Lee will host the red carpet. Musicians Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, Trevor Dongo, and John Cole will be guest performers. The newest national pageant in Zimbabwe was founded by former queens Tendai Hunda and Hilda Mabu and its winners will have the opportunity to represent the country at various international pageants such as Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Model of the World, and Top Model of the World. Nayelhi González Ulloa bested 17 other contestants to be crowned Miss Ecuador 2022 (Miss Ecuador Universo 2022) on Saturday, September 3 at Malecón de Quevedo, Los Ríos. The 26-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner, Susy Sacoto Mendoza. She is a nursing graduate and professional model from Esmeraldas. Georgette Kalil Roha, 20, finished as first runner-up and was named Miss Ecuador Internacional 2022. The names of the first 19 contestants competing for Miss Venezuela 2022, the 70th Miss Venezuela edition, have been announced. According to Nina Sicilia, former Miss International and now general manager of Miss Venezuela organization, from around 300 beauties were shortlisted through the online application process, only 60 advanced to the face-to-face evaluation and finally, only 19 made it to the final list. There will be 24 official contestants when the representatives from the states of Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Carabobo, Monagas, and Zulia have been selected at their regional competitions later this month. A new set of Reinas del Paraguay (Queens of Paraguay) who will represent "the heart of South America" at Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth pageants will be crowned on Friday, August 26 at Paseo La Galería in Asunción. Kenyatta Beazer, representing the Northeast, was crowned Miss US International 2022 last month at Avanti Palms Resort and Conference Center in Orlando, Florida.
