The highly anticipated official presentation of the 24 contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022 took place on Saturday, November 10 in Caracas. Hosted by "Súper Sábado Sensacional" presenter Henrys Silva, the special show aired on Venevisión with simultaneous live streaming on missvenezuela.tv . The reigning queens, Miss Venezuela 2021 Amanda Dudamel, Miss Venezuela World 2021 Ariagny Daboin, and Miss International Venezuela 2020 Isbel Parra were also present for the sashing ceremony. Miss Venezuela 2022 final night will be held on Thursday, November 16 at Poliedro de Caracas. As usual, the winners are expected to compete in Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International 2023 pageants. Romée Dahlen has been officially announced as Miss International Norway 2022 and will represent her country at the 60th Miss International pageant in Japan this December. The 18-year-old medical student from Bjørkelangen was named first runner-up at Miss Norway 2022 which was held last August 13. "I'm super excited and can't wait to meet the other girls and show you everything I've been preparing for," she wrote on social media after announcing her new title. Miss International 2022 will be held on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. The winner from 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor at the end of the event. Norway has won the Miss International title twice with Catherine Alexandra Gude in 1988 and Anne Lena Hansen in 1995. The country's last placement was in the Top 15 in 1996. The Miss Ukraine Committee has officially announced that applications for Miss Ukraine 2022 edition are now open. Ukrainian women living in any country who meet all the requirements of the pageant may submit their applications. For safety reasons, this year's casting will be held in two formats - online and offline. Details on the competition including the final date and format are yet to be announced but they will most likely be based on the security situation in the country. Every year, the contestants of Miss Ukraine engage themselves in various charitable initiatives, but this year due to the current situation in Ukraine, the pageant will focus on helping displaced children affected by the military action. The Glamanand Supermodel India 2022 final competition took place on Sunday, September 4 at Zee Studios in a city of rich cultural heritage, Jaipur. Kashish Methwani, 21, was named Miss International India 2023 and will represent her country at the Miss International 2023 pageant. Her predecessor, last year's titleholder Zoya Afroz will compete in Miss International 2022 in Japan this December. The title of Miss Grand India 2022 went to 24-year-old Praachi Nagpal, who was crowned by Miss Grand India 2020 Simran Sharma. The inaugural edition of the Miss Zimbabwe Queen pageant will take place on Saturday, September 10 at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC). Former Miss Zimbabwe Brita Masalethulini will host the big show with Zimbabwean Radio DJ and businessman Tich Mataz while comedienne Madam Boss, fashion stylist Tafadzwa Zimoyo and fashion entrepreneur Hollywood Lee will host the red carpet. The 26-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner, Susy Sacoto Mendoza. She is a nursing graduate and professional model from Esmeraldas. The names of the first 19 contestants competing for Miss Venezuela 2022, the 70th Miss Venezuela edition, have been announced. According to Nina Sicilia, former Miss International and now general manager of Miss Venezuela organization, from around 300 beauties were shortlisted through the online application process, only 60 advanced to the face-to-face evaluation and finally, only 19 made it to the final list. There will be 24 official contestants when the representatives from the states of Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Carabobo, Monagas, and Zulia have been selected at their regional competitions later this month. The contestants will receive their assigned sashes in early September and will go through a series of events and training sessions leading up to the final in Caracas this November whose winner will be chosen for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International.
