Miss International Denmark 2022 is Dana Myrvig

Miss Denmark Organization headed by its CEO Lisa Lents proudly announced Dana Myrvig as Miss International Denmark 2022 and will head over to the Miss International 2022 in Tokyo, Japan this December. The 26-year-old social educator, activist, and model graduated with a bachelor's degree in social education and a diploma in neuropsychology. She was a finalist in Miss Denmark 2019 and now succeeded Anna Diekelmann, Miss International Denmark 2019. Dana was born in Mali to a Danish father and a Sudanese mother. Over the last six years, she has been passionate about charity and volunteering, especially for disabled people and children, and her biggest dream is to open her own volunteer center. This year's Miss International pageant celebrates its 60th edition and also marks its return after a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tamao Yoneyama beat over 30 other contestants to be crowned Miss International Japan 2023 on Tuesday, November 8 at the Nissho Hall in Tokyo. The 26-year-old model from Tokyo, who now wears the newly unveiled crown by Long Beach Pearl, will represent Japan at the Miss International 2023 pageant. Mio Ikeda placed second while Sumire Akune, Kumi Miyamaru, and Marika Goto were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. While this year's Miss International will be held on December 13 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, the date and venue for the 2023 edition have not yet been announced. Since 1960, Japan has only won Miss International once, in 2012, with the now actress and book author Ikumi Yoshimatsu. Miss International organization has officially unveiled a brand new crown made by Vietnamese luxury pearl jewelry company Long Beach Pearl . Introduced along with the new Mount Fuji-inspired Miss International Japan crown, the new Miss International crown was inspired by the Japanese national flower — the cherry blossoms which symbolizes "the strength, spirit, culture, and people of Phu Tang." Themed "Cherry Blossoms welcome the spring sunshine," the exquisite masterpiece features 333 pure white pearls, three selected pearls measuring up to 15 mm, and 1,960 white gems, meticulously crafted and dedicated especially for the Miss International pageant. Lee Seung-hyun, a 23-year-old economics student at Korea University was crowned Miss Korea 2022 in a glittering final held on Wednesday, October 26 at the Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Yoo Si-eun, 25, a student of aviation services, and Kim Go-eun, 22, a student of aviation and aeronautical engineering, were in second and third places, respectively. Out of 54 regional winners, only 30 finalists were selected to take part in the 66th edition of the national pageant. This year's winners are expected to represent Korea at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam and Miss International 2023 in Japan. Anjelica Whitelaw has been officially announced by Karen Jane Productions as Miss International Australia 2022 on Tuesday, October 11. The 26-year-old Sydney-born Filipino-Australian lawyer will represent Australia at the 60th Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan this December. A graduate of a bachelor's degree in communication and recently a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Technology Sydney, Anjelica currently works as a lawyer at a commercial law firm in Sydney. In her spare time, the proud bilingual whose Filipino mother hails from Pampanga, Philippines, enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines with her family and friends. Australia first joined Miss International in 1960 during the pageant's inaugural edition. The country has won the title three times with Tania Verstak in 1962, Jenny Derek in 1981, and Kirsten Davidson in 1992. Kim Su-jin, a 25-year-old fashion design graduate and broadcaster from Daegu will represent Korea at Miss International 2022 in Japan. Prior to being appointed as Miss International Korea 2022, she was named first runner-up during last year's Miss Korea pageant. She also has just recently relinquished her reign as Miss Gyeongbuk 2021. Following a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 60th Miss International edition will take place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on Tuesday, December 13. Since Korea's debut at the Japan-based international pageant in 1960, it has yet to win the coveted title. The country's highest placements so far were two first runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2009. Meet Miss International Belgium, France, Germany and Netherlands 2022

The representatives of Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands for the 60th Miss International pageant have been selected in a special event that took place last weekend at Beej Bertje in Maastricht. Loren Venx was named Miss International Belgium 2022 while Jasmin Selberg and Marisol Soliana were awarded the titles Miss International Germany and Netherlands, respectively. Joining them was Miss International 2020/2021 France Maya Albert, who won her own title last year in the northern french city of Roubaix. The "Miss International Festival" event was organized by pageant director Katia Maes, a Belgian native who is now based in the Netherlands.
