Tonight, 30 contestants will battle it out to win the coveted national title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. One of them will have the opportunity to represent the Caribbean island of enchantment at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant in El Salvador this November. Following the physical screening held last Friday at Silverbird Galleria in Abuja, the 37 contestants vying for Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 have been officially unveiled. The selection panel consisted of award-winning international journalist and TV host Keturah King; entrepreneur and public speaker Kiki Chiori; and an award-winning presenter, host, digital and media strategist Bridget Chigbufue. This year's standalone pageant for Miss Universe Nigeria is a spin-off from the renowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant organized by Silverbird Communications. The Top 22 semifinalists vying for the coveted national title of Miss Universe Nepal 2023 were officially presented to the press on Friday, August 18 at Dusit Princess Kathmandu. The Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 pageant held its crucial preliminary competition on Sunday, August 20 at Teatro Tapia in San Juan. Television and radio host, writer, actress, and entrepreneur Nicole Chacón hosted the event that will help determine this year's semifinalists. Thirty contestants sashayed onstage wearing their official swimsuits by Mare Cheia and glittering evening gowns to impress a distinguished panel of judges consisting of professionals from various industries. The 27-year-old medical doctor from the capital city succeeds last year's winner Toshami Calvin and will now prepare to represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Ashellica Fahie was crowned Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023 in a glittering coronation show held on Sunday, August 20 at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium in Tortola. The 28-year-old legal manager and business owner will now represent the British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's winner Lia Claxton. Karol Croes bested five other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Aruba 2023 on Sunday, August 20 at the Renaissance Convention Center in Oranjestad. The 27-year-old model, entrepreneur, and social media marketer also bagged the Miss Photogenic award.
