Before the crucial preliminary competition and the much-awaited coronation, the contestants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the dazzling culture of the host country. They will have a first-hand experience of the vibrant culture, captivating history, and stunning landscapes that make México an unparalleled destination. Their scheduled activities will lead to the final night in Mexico City where Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will pass on her crown to the next Miss Universe. Miss Universe 2024, the 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held on November 16 at the the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The country known for its rich culture, ancient ruins, dazzling beaches, and incredible cuisine has been chosen to host the competition for the fifth time after 1978, 1989, 1993, and 2007. A total of 127 national queens have been crowned up to this point and are all set to compete in this year's highly anticipated beauty pageant. Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 Sandra Lim's national costume for Miss Universe 2024 was officially unveiled on Wednesday, October 23 at the MYEG Tower Auditorium in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Designed by renowned Malaysian designer Ezuwan Ismail, the national costume was inspired by the story of Princess Walinong Sari, a legendary figure from Pahang folklore known for her beauty and combat skills, symbolizing courage, grace, and woman empowerment. "Princess Walinong Sari symbolizes resilience and beauty, and I hope to bring those qualities to the Miss Universe stage, proudly representing the strength of Malaysian women while showcasing Malaysia's diverse heritage," she said. Thailand's Suchata Chuangsri departs for Miss Universe 2024

Miss Universe Thailand 2024 Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri departed Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday night aboard Turkish Airlines to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024. Fans flocked to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport for her departure. Former MUT titleholders Anntonia Porsild and Anna Sueangam-iam were also present to show their support. "Thank you so much everyone for coming, thank you for your love and support. It is truly a dream come true to be wearing Thailand sash across my heart and I promise to raise our flag high," she wrote online. Emma Avanesyan to represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2024

Emma Avanesyan has been appointed the new Miss Universe Armenia 2024 and will soon head to Mexico to represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2024 this November. The 32-year-old Armenian model based in Moscow, Russia, was the third runner-up at the Miss Universe Armenia 2024 pageant. She replaced the original winner, Irina Zakharova , who was dethroned due to her nationality issues. According to the Miss Universe Organization, the former winner failed to meet the requirements stipulated in their license agreements. MUO also pointed out that the titleholder must possess a valid passport from the country she represents. The new Miss Universe Armenia is a founder of a modeling agency. She is a mother of one and apart from modeling she is also a singer and a modeling teacher. Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, will participate for the first time in the Miss Universe pageant. Eleanora Kachalovskaya, a 24-year-old fashion model from Minsk, has recently been appointed officially as Miss Universe Belarus 2024. No stranger to pageantry, the first-ever Miss Universe Belarus has competed in Miss Belarus 2023 and won the title among 24 contestants. She also went to the Miss Europe Continental Global Edition last year in Naples, Italy and placed first runner-up. Snit Tewoldemedhin crowned first-ever Miss Universe Eritrea

Eritrea, a northeast African country on the Red Sea coast, will participate for the first time in the annual Miss Universe pageant this year. A coronation ceremony was held on Friday, October 18 at the Eritrean Cultural and Civic Center in Washington, DC to crown Snit Tewoldemedhin as Miss Universe Eritrea 2024. The 25-year-old advocate for children with learning disabilities is a fashion model and a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in neuroscience. No stranger to pageantry, Snit previously joined the Miss Africa USA 2023 pageant in Greenbelt, Maryland, and won the title. Shereen Ahmed was recently crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2024 and will compete in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. The 29-year-old Bahraini-Filipino beauty succeeds last year's winner Lujane Yacoub. She is the fourth woman to represent Bahrain at Miss Universe. Advaita Shetty, Ola Adel, and Jehan Alrowaie were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Bahrain was born to a Bahraini father and a Filipino mother. She is a TV presenter, content creator, poet, and writer.
