The Miss World Philippines 2022 Sports Challenge Competition took place last Friday, May 13 at Timberland Highlands Resort in San Mateo, Rizal. Angela Teng (Baliwag, Bulacan), Shaina Rose Ico (Batangas), Cassandra Bermeo Chan (San Juan), Alison Black (Las Piñas), and Maria Gigante (Cebu) were announced as the Top 5 finalists. The Miss World Philippines 2022 press presentation took place last Thursday, May 12 at Cove Manila. Thirty-six beauties are vying for the coveted titles at stake and the opportunity to represent the Philippines at the next Miss World, Miss Supranational, Miss Eco International, and Reina Hispanoamericana international competitions. The reigning queens, Tracy Perez, Dindi Pajares, Emmanuelle Vera, and Kathleen Paton will crown their successors at the end of the event. Miss Wales 2022 is Darcey Corria, first woman of color to win the pageant

Darcey Corria bested 19 other finalists to be crowned Miss Wales 2022 in a glittering competition held at The Riverfront in Newport on Sunday, May 8. The 21-year-old model and advocate from Barry was born to a white mother and a father of Jamaican heritage. She became the first-ever woman of color to win the Miss Wales pageant. Chepstow's Zoe Scrimshaw and Bridgend's Catrin Harries were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Wales volunteers for Race Equality First and helps women from black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds in the community through health and fitness. She has also been actively involved in the Criminal Justice in Wales Anti-Racism Delivery Plan called Together Stronger. CNB Ecuador 2022: Meet Miss World and Miss Supranational Ecuador 2022

The Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador 2022 (CNB Ecuador) pageant was held on Saturday, April 30 at the Teatro Sánchez Aguilar in Samborondón. Miss Santa Elena, Annie Zambrano, was proclaimed Señorita Ecuador 2022 (Miss World Ecuador). The 22-year-old entrepreneur who is pursuing her bachelor's degree in languages will represent Ecuador at Miss World 2022 later this year. Another winner of the competition is Valery Carabalí who was named Miss Supranational Ecuador 2022. She will travel to Nowy Sacz in Malopolska, Poland to compete for the Miss Supranational 2022 title this July. Gabriela Andrade and María Paula López were proclaimed Virreina Nacional and first princess, respectively. Last year's titleholders Amar Pacheco and Justeen Cruz successfully relinquished their reigns to their respective successors at the end of the event. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska of Poland and Miss Supranational Chanique Rabe of Namibia were special guests at the national competition.

Miss World Australia 2022 is Kristen Wright

Former national gymnast Kristen Wright was named Miss World Australia 2022 at Palazzo Versace on Queensland's Gold Coast on Friday, April 29. The 23-year-old beauty who hails from Mornington, Victoria is a biomedical student and a scuba diving instructor. She succeeds Miss World Australia 2019 Sarah Marschke and will now prepare to represent her country at Miss World 2022 later this year. This year's national competition was held after a 2-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Miss Madagascar 2022 is Antsaly Rajoelina

Miss Analamanga, Antsaly Rajoelina, was crowned Miss Madagascar 2022 in a national competition held at the Arena Ivandry in Antananarivo on Monday, April 18. The 23-year-old beauty who holds a degree in management bested 18 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss World Top 40 semi-finalist, Nellie Anjaratiana. Lisimonde Rabemananjara of Fitovinany and Christelle Dolsain of Boeny were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Rwanda 2022 is Nshuti Divine Muheto

Nshuti Divine Muheto bested 18 other contestants to win Miss Rwanda 2022 in a national competition held last March 19 at Intare Conference Arena in Kigali. The 18-year-old high school graduate from the Western Province succeeds last year's winner, Grace Ingabire. She will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. Maolithia Keza and Darina Kayumba were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Anja Radic bested 19 other beauties to be crowned Miss Srbije 2021 in a national competition held last Thursday, January 27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The 20-year-old project and innovation management student from Belgrade will represent Serbia at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Andrijana Savic. The first runner-up Anela Džanovic was named Miss Charm Serbia while Andjela Bucalo, the second runner-up, received the title Miss Teen International Serbia. Venera Stanisavljevic, Natasa Pilipovic, and Emina Rajicic were awarded Beauty Ambassador of Sharm El Sheikh, Miss Eco Serbia, and Miss Photogenic, respectively. The official presentation gala of the Miss Mundo Panamá 2022 (Miss World Panama 2022) candidates will be held on Thursday, February 17 at the Teatro Pacific in Panama City, following health security measures.
