Seventeen young women were selected to compete in the upcoming Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2022 final. They were officially revealed last September 4 at The Brix, Autograph Collection in Port of Spain. Following a series of pre-pageant activities and training, the final competition will take place on November 6 at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA). Oh Wei Qi was crowned Miss World Singapore 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, September 10 at the state-of-the-art The Theatre at Mediacorp. The 23-year-old artist and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent Singapore at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Khailing Ho. "Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream," she wrote in a statement on social media and recalled how she joined the pageant for the first time in 2021. "It was my first pageant experience and definitely one that taught me the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities I can do to give back to society," she said. She is now expected to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. The 22-year-old is currently studying at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and enjoys swimming, boating, piano, violin, volunteering at animal shelters, and cooking every cuisine under the sun.
