The 8th Mister Global edition is underway in Chiang Mai, Thailand and 39 of the world's most handsome and inspiring gentlemen are competing for the title. Following their arrival to the host city earlier this month, the contestants have been busy with photo shooting, filming, touring, and preparing for the big event. From their pre-pageant activities, they had the opportunity to experience the Chiang Mai flower festival, try local cuisine, visit a temple, plant rice, feed elephants, and learn Thai boxing called Muay Thai. In addition to the unique cultural experiences, the Mister Global contestants also received the generosity and hospitality of the local people. Both the preliminary (February 9) and final competition (February 11) will be held at the Royal Park Rajapruek, a beautiful botanical garden situated in the Mae Hia sub-district. The contestants vying for Mister Global 2022 started arriving in Chiang Mai, Thailand for the international male beauty competition. Over 40 inspiring gentlemen from around the world are expected to take part in the 8th Mister Global edition whose final is scheduled for February 11 from 7 p.m. ICT (local time) at the Royal Park Rajapruek. Mister Global organization also just revealed the format for the forthcoming competition. According to the announcement, the Top 15 will be chosen based on their appearances with 40 percent of their scores will come from their looks, physique, and performance during the preliminary competition. Another 40 percent will come from their pre-judging interviews and the last 20 percent from their attitude and participation during the pageant period. Al Sivka was proclaimed the winner of Mister Slovenije (Mister Slovenia) 2022 during the national final on Sunday, December 4 at the Šentjakob Theater in Ljubljana. The 19-year-old model from Izola beat 11 other finalists to win the national title. He succeeds last year's winner Sebastian Čufer and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the 8th Mister Global pageant in Thailand. Jesús Miguel has been officially announced as the new Mister RNB España Global 2022 and will compete in the 8th Mister Global competition. The 24-year-old sports coach from Algemesí, Valencia, represented Alicante at Mister RNB España 2022 pageant held in Nerja, Málaga where he placed in the Top 12. Playing sports, going to the beach, and poetry are some of the things he enjoys as hobbies. Jacky Phimmachak was named Mister Global Laos 2022 in a national competition held on Saturday, November 19 at Indee Studio in Vientiane. The 22-year-old medical student from Savannakhét beat 11 other finalists to win the title. He succeeded last year's winner Pay Souliyamath and will now represent his country at the 8th Mister Global competition in Chiang Mai, Thailand this February. Mister Global Organization President Pradit Pradinunt officially announced during Mister Global Thailand 2022 competition held on Sunday that the 8th Mister Global world final will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on February 11, 2023. Over 40 inspiring gentlemen from around the world are expected to be competing for the converted international title currently held by Vietnam's Danh Chieu Linh. They will be judged in three categories — swimwear, evening wear, and interview. Setthapan "Pat" Thongsuk, representing Phuket, was named Mister Global Thailand 2022 in a national competition held on Sunday, October 9 at Khum Kham International Convention Centre in Chiang Mai. The 32-year-old fitness model and influencer beat over 70 other competitors to win the national title. He will represent Thailand at the 8th Mister Global world final during the first quarter of 2023. Mister Global 2021 first runner-up Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam was officially announced as the new Mister Global 2021 replacing Spain's Miguel Ángel Lucas Carrasco who won the title last March in Thailand. The Mister Global Organization made the official proclamation on Monday, September 5 during a press conference at Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City.
