Miss Grand International 2022 contestants depart for Bali, Indonesia

The 10th Miss Grand International competition is about to start in Bali, Indonesia as the contestants from around the world depart for the host country. Seventy-two beauties are expected to arrive on October 3 and 4. Three new countries consisting of DR Congo, Kyrgyzstan, and Mozambique will debut this year. The contestants will be officially welcomed during the traditional sashing ceremony on October 5 and the Top 10 with the highest social media votes will have a special dinner with MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil. In the next three weeks, the contestants will go through pre-pageant activities, photoshoots, rehearsals, and preliminary competitions leading to the final show on October 25 in Jakarta, where Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien of Vietnam will relinquish her reign. This is the fifth time Miss Grand International is being held outside Thailand since the pageant was established in 2013 and this is Indonesia's first time as the host country. Faron Medhi, representing the state of Nebraska, was crowned Miss Teen USA 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, October 1 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The 18-year-old high school graduate and model from Omaha became the first teen representative from Nebraska to win Miss Teen USA since 1983. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Jenna Beckstrom of Idaho, second runner-up Cassidy Hill of California, third runner-up Isabella Mosqueda of Michigan, and fourth runner-up McKinley Farese of Tennessee. Mister International Thailand 2022 is Surasak 'Tor' Muangkeaw

Surasak "Tor" Muangkeaw was proclaimed Mister International Thailand 2022 in a national competition held on Saturday, October 1 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok. The 27-year-old mass communication graduate and film photographer from Lamphun beat 29 other contestants to win the national title. He will represent Thailand at the 14th Mister International competition this October 30 in the Philippines. Kanawach Kueakanchanaphon and Teerapat Angkanit were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nathaphop Kanjanteak and Nathas Tunjaroen rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Today is the day, the Miss Teen USA 2022 final competition is taking place tonight at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Fifty-one of the country's most beautiful teens are vying for the title currently held by Breanna Myles of Florida and become the 40th Miss Teen USA. Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 is Doan Thien An

Doan Thien An was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 (Hoa hậu Hòa bình Việt Nam) in a spectacular final show held on Saturday, October 1 at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The 22-year-old student from Long An province bested 49 other contestants to win the national title. She will now represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2022 in Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia this October. Che Nguyen Quynh Chau was named first runner-up while Tran Tuyet Nhu, Tran Nguyen Minh Thu, and Ngo Thi Quynh Mai were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Grand Vietnam became the last representative to be selected this year for the 10th Miss Grand International pageant, only less than a week before the upcoming international competition. Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 is Zar Li Moe

Zar Li Moe beat 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 on Saturday, October 1 at the Grand Ballroom of the Novotel Hotel in Yangon. The 20-year-old commercial model from Bhamo also bagged Miss Royal by Lucky Diamond, Miss Beautiful Smile, and Face of Pan Aesthetics awards. She will now prepare to represent Myanmar at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, the USA this January. Completing the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Ya Mone, second runner-up Thinzar Min Htet, third runner-up Kendra and fourth runner-up Kay Zin Khant. Myanmar has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant. The country's highest placement was in 2020 with Thuzar Wint Lwin who placed in the Top 21. Manhunt International 2022 is Lochie Carey of Australia

Lochie Carey, representing Australia, was named Manhunt International 2022 during the male supermodel competition's world final held on Saturday, October 1 at Okada Manila in the Philippines. The 23-year-old model and events producer who grew up in Melbourne, Australia beat over 30 other models to win the title and become the second Manhunt International winner from Australia. He also bagged the Face of AQ Prime award. Joshua De Sequera of the Philippines placed second while Elijah Van Zanten of the USA, Tran Manh Kien of Vietnam, and Cas Hagman of the Netherlands were third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
