South Africa's reigning Miss Supranational Lalela Mswane will touch down in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, November 28 for her first-ever visit to Vietnam. The beauty queen will be the VIP guest at the Harper's Bazaar Star Awards 2022, an event celebrating the people and organizations who made outstanding contributions to Vietnam's luxury market. Ivis Nicole Snyder, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher and counselor, has been officially announced as Señorita Panamá 2022 (Miss Panama). Organización Señorita Panamá (Miss Panama Organization) made the decision to appoint last year's runner-up as the successor of Brenda Smith, the winner of Señorita Panamá 2021 and Top 16 semi-finalist at 70th Miss Universe, instead of carrying out a national competition. Jesús Miguel has been officially announced as the new Mister RNB España Global 2022 and will compete in the 8th Mister Global competition. The 24-year-old sports coach from Algemesí, Valencia, represented Alicante at Mister RNB España 2022 pageant held in Nerja, Málaga where he placed in the Top 12. Michael Pelletier, representing Switzerland, was proclaimed Mister Grand International 2022 on Friday, November 25 at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. The 28-year-old fashion model from Perly, Geneva, succeeded last year's winner from Puerto Rico, Fernando Ezequiel Padin. He became the first representative from his country to win the international title. The pre-pageant activities for the 30 contestants vying for the highly coveted Miss France 2023 have officially begun.  They arrived in Guadeloupe on Monday, November 21 for their traditional preparation trip that involves photoshoots, press meetings, catwalk exercises, and etiquette courses, among others. Joining them were Miss France organization's President and CEO Alexia Laroche-Joubert, former national director Sylvie Tellier, new national director Cindy Fabre and reigning queen Diane Leyre. As part of the Miss France pageant tradition, the contestants representing various French regions and departments also have to take the 'culture générale' (general culture) test. The upcoming 71st Miss Universe edition in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA will not be holding a national gift auction and the contestants were informed not to bring a national gift. Instead, they need to customize their own cape for the swimsuit competition taking inspiration from anything that could be related to their cause or the country that they represent. The capes will be auctioned instead of national gifts and proceeds will benefit a charity that has yet to be announced. Contestants will each receive a blank cape from the Miss Universe Organization and they are instructed to bring the "custom art cape" and a copy of the "clearance agreement" to the Miss Universe host country. Miss Earth USA 2023 will be held on Saturday, January 7 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida where the reigning queen Brielle Simmons will crown her successor.
