Miss Elegance France 2023 is Charlotte Brique

Miss Elegance Franche-Comté Charlotte Brique was crowned Miss Elegance France 2023 (Miss Earth France) in a glittering national final held on Saturday, January 28 in Albi, Tarn. The 24-year-old communications graduate from Belfort bested 21 other competitors to win her national title. She is expected to represent France at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam later this year. Miss Elegance Gascogne (Inès Sanchez-Isser), Nord-Pas-de-Calais (Alyssa Verhenne), Alsace (Chrislène Largen), and Midi-Pyrénées (Eva Mariotto) were announced the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner who competed in Miss Earth 2022 last November in the Philippines, Alison Carrasco, relinquished her reign and pass the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Miss Alabama USA 2023 is Sophie Burzynski

Miss Auburn-Opelika Sophie Burzynski was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2023 in a state pageant held on Saturday, January 28 at Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn. The 21-year-old wedding videographer and a senior student at Auburn University bested over 30 other competitors to win the state title. Last year's winner, Katelyn Vinson, passed the crown to her successor who will now prepare to represent the state of Alabama at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada possibly this fall. The runners-up were Miss Greystone Noelia Voigt, Miss Southern Plains Diane Westhoven, Miss Rover Region Margaret Anne McNeill, and Miss Huntsville Randee Hinson-McCrary. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, the new Miss Alabama USA aspires to become a dentist and is currently a double major in nutritional science and business management.  Sophie has been eyeing to fulfill her pageant dream for six years and winning last night's competition was part of it. Michelle Dee hints at return to Miss Universe Philippines

Former Miss World Philippines and Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 Michelle Daniela Marquez Dee has hinted at her return to pageantry. Her recent comment #deepatapos (not yet done) on social media created a buzz among the pageant fans who are wishing for her to represent the Philippines at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador. Registrations for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 are still open until the 5th of February and it has yet to be confirmed if the actress and model will actually be joining this year's edition. The 27-year-old daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez and actor Derek Dee won Miss World Philippines 2019 and placed in the Top 12 at the Miss World pageant held in London. The 60th Miss Malta grand final took place last January 8 at Hilton Malta in St. Julians where a total of 30 finalists competed for the crowns at stake Anne Camilleri, a 24-year-old artificial intelligence graduate who represented Sliema, was crowned Miss Malta 2023. She is a software developer and is originally from Balzan. "It’s such a surreal moment for me, I am truly grateful," she told Lovin Malta in relation to winning her national title. It has yet to be confirmed if the new Miss Malta will be sent to the Miss Earth 2023 edition which is expected to be held in Vietnam later this year. The winner from 2021 who represented Malta at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines, Kim Pelham, relinquished her reign by passing the crown to her successor at the end of the final show. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel has arrived in Auburn, Alabama to crown North Carolina's Morgan Romano, her successor as Miss USA tonight. The official coronation ceremony will take place during the preliminary competition of Miss Alabama Teen USA and Miss Alabama USA 2023 at Auburn University. Miss Charm 2023, the inaugural edition of the Vietnam-based international beauty pageant will finally be held this February in Ho Chi Minh City following a 2-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the mission of promoting culture, tourism, and educational activities, the host city will be welcoming 40 participants from different countries around the world. The contestants were selected among the top-ranking beauty queens, especially handpicked in collaboration with the organizing committee from each participating country. Curacao celebrates Top 5 finish at 71st Miss Universe pageant

Miss Universe Curacao 2022 Gabriëla Dos Santos received a warm welcome when she arrived back in her home country from the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans. The 20-year-old certified life coach managed to achieve a Top 5 placement among 84 contestants during the Miss Universe 2022 final telecast on January 14 despite having tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the competition. It was Curacao's third-highest placement at Miss Universe next to Annemarie Braafheid (Miss Universe 1968 first runner-up) and Verna Vasquez (Miss Universe 1997 Top 6 finalist). 71st Miss Universe: MUO releases contestants' closed-door interviews

The Miss Universe Organization started releasing the closed-door interviews of the 71st Miss Universe contestants on its official social media and streaming platforms. This historic move letting the public get access to the crucial part of the judging criteria for the first time will hopefully help shed light on why some heavy fan favorites failed to enter the semifinals. Fifty percent of the contestants' scores were from the closed-door interview with the selection committee while the other half were from the preliminary evening gown and swimsuit competitions. Fans alleged on social media that the recently concluded Miss Universe 2022 pageant was rigged which the MUO already debunked and called the false allegations "absurd" in a statement. Quentin Bourg-Austruy, representing Île-de-France, was proclaimed Mister Universel France 2023 (Mister Supranational France 2023) on Saturday, January 21 at the Centre de Rencontres Innovance in Villieu-Loyes-Mollon. The 24-year-old restaurant entrepreneur hailing from Issy-les-Moulineaux bested 15 other competitors to win the national title. Miss Universe Laos 2022 Payengxa Lor returned home following her historic achievement during the recently held 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The business management student received a warm welcome from her supporters and members of the press when she arrived back in her country on January 19. Her Top 16 placement marked the first time ever Laos entered the semifinals at the Miss Universe competition. Payengxa won the 5th edition of the Miss Universe Laos pageant at the Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel in Vientiane last October 8 and earned her the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. The 21-year-old was the first Hmong to win the national title and also the first one to achieve Laos' highest placement at Miss Universe since its debut in 2017.
