Miss Charm Philippines 2023 is Annabelle McDonnell

Annabelle McDonnell has been officially announced as Miss Charm Philippines 2023 and will represent her country at Miss Charm 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 22-year-old student pursuing a degree in consular and diplomatic affairs was named first runner-up while representing Misamis Oriental during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 final in April. No stranger to pageantry, the UK-born Filipina beauty from Iligan City has conquered several local pageants in the past including Miss Iligan 2018, Miss Lanao Del Norte 2019, Miss Millennial Philippines 2019, and Miss Kuyamis 2022. Based in Vietnam, Miss Charm was founded and initiated by the company Miss Charm International. Binibining Pilipinas officially withdraws from Miss Grand International

After almost a decade, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) officially announced its withdrawal from the Miss Grand International Organization. In an official statement released on Monday, November 7, BPCI revealed it will no longer renew its contract with the Thailand-based international pageant. The announcement received a lot of jolly feedback from Filipino fans who have been begging the organizers for years to drop the franchise. Under BPCI, the Philippines managed to achieve two third runners-up placements with Annalie Forbes (2013) and Parul Shah (2015), one second runner-up with Elizabeth Clenci (2017), and two first runners-up with Nicole Cordoves (2016) and Samantha Mae Bernardo (2020). The 14th Mister International pageant held an official press presentation on Sunday, October 23 at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, Philippines. A "media popularity" poll was conducted among the members of the press where Juan Pablo Colías of Spain, Jacob Li of Hong Kong, MJ Ordillano of the Philippines, Surasak Muangkeaw of Thailand and Daryn Alexander of the USA emerged as winners. Meet and greet, official photoshoots, sashing ceremony, and sponsor visit were just some of the activities that the 34 contestants have been busy doing since their arrival in the host country during the weekend. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has been named the Philippines' top Instagram earner in 2021 according to a study "Instagram Rich List 2022" by Chicago-based company NetCredit. If the estimated amount is accurate, she earned $3,669,205 making her fourth in Asia and Oceania next to international Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, South Korean singer and actress Jisoo, and South Korea-based Thai rapper, singer and dancer Lisa. Based on the published list, the former beauty queen turned model and actress has even earned higher than Australian "Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth and "Wonder Woman" actress and former Miss Israel Gal Gadot. To reveal the world’s top Instagram earners, NetCredit first built a list of the most-followed Instagram stars from every country. List in hand, figures from the Instagram rich list were used to estimate the fee-per-ad for each country’s most-followed stars. After a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 14th Mister International competition is all set to take place in Manila, Philippines. Over 30 contestants from across the world are now heading to the host country to compete for the international title. New countries to debut this year are Albania, Cuba, Laos, and Sierra Leone. Following the sad passing of its founder Alan Sim, the Mister International organization announced that the upcoming show must go on. An official statement read: "Mister International is a global brand built by the vision of our founder. It is his dying wish to preserve the vision and its noble cause for the next generation." Anamaria Babau of the United Arab Emirates placed second while Cleopatra Jones of the USA, Sofia Donado of Colombia, and Prisca Abah of Ghana were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabriella Basiano, Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong will soon depart for their international competitions this October. Filipino-Indian Rheema Adakkoden bested 19 other beauties to be crowned Miss Bicolandia 2022 on Wednesday, September 7 at the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum in Naga City, Camarines Sur. The 21-year-old beauty pursuing a degree in business administration and management won her title in her second attempt. She succeeds Paulina Labayo, the winner from 2019 when she placed second runner-up.
