71st Miss World: Tunisia's Imen Mehrzi wins Talent competition

The 71st Miss World Talent Competition final was held during the Beauty With a Purpose gala dinner on Sunday, March 3 at the Aurika, Mumbai Skycity. A total of 14 finalists from 112 contestants took part in the final round where Imen Mehrzi of Tunisia was chosen by the judges as the winner for her rendition of "Skyfall" by Adele. Kaitlyn Clarke of Northern Ireland and Audrey Vanessa of Indonesia placed second and third, respectively. The rest of the finalists were Botswana (Lesego Chombo), Estonia (Adriana Mass), Gibraltar (Faith Torres), Guatemala (Marcela Miranda), Hungary (Boglárka Hacsi), India (Sini Shetty), Ireland (Ivanna McMahon), Mongolia (Bolor Bat-Erdene), Netherlands (Amber Koelewijn), Portugal (Catarina Ferreira), and Wales (Darcey Corria). Mariam Ben Abroug to represent Tunisia at Miss International 2023

A 27-year-old clinical neuropsychologist, Mariam Ben Abroug, has been officially designated as Miss International Tunisia 2023 and she will soon travel to Japan for the 61st Miss International pageant. The Tunisian beauty also holds a postgraduate diploma in cognitive remediation therapy. She had the opportunity to intern as a neuropsychologist at the National Institute of Neurology in Tunisia then worked in a private practice psychology office in her country. However, her passion for exploration and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds led her to pursue a new path. She made the decision to become a flight attendant for one of the world's leading airlines in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to her aviation career, she is actively pursuing her dream of becoming a space psychologist. Miss Centre, Amira Afli, was crowned Miss Tunisia 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, February 11 at Le Pavillon Gammarth in La Marsa. The 22-year-old beauty from Kairouan is a medical student at Monastir's Faculty of Medicine and an advocate of first-aid training for the youth. She is now expected to represent Tunisia at the Miss World 2024 pageant. Her predecessor, Miss Tunisia 2021 Nesrine Haffar, was officially proclaimed Miss World Tunisia 2023 and will go to the 71st Miss World (Miss World 2023) in India later this year. Miss Tunis, Zohra Elloumi, Miss Siliana, Eya Guesmi, and Miss Djerba, Rania Mehri were named the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Tunisia to debut in Miss Earth with newly crowned Miss Earth Tunisia 2022 Imen Mehrzi

A northernmost country in Africa, Tunisia, is set to debut in the Miss Earth pageant with newly crowned Miss Earth Tunisia 2022 Imen Mehrzi. The 26-year-old professional singer, TV host, actress and telecommunications research engineer won her beauty title in a national competition held on Saturday, February 19 at Bel Azur Hotel in Hammamet. Apart from her, Nesrine Haffar, 23, clinched the Miss Tunisie 2021 title while Rahma Sellimi, Mona Ammar, and Chourouk Marzouki were named Miss World Tunisia, Miss International Tunisia, and Miss Eco International Tunisia, respectively. The first-ever Miss Earth Tunisia is expected to represent her country at the international Miss Earth 2022 pageant whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Miss Tunisie 2021 is Nesrine Haffar

Miss Cap Bon, Nesrine Haffar, was crowned Miss Tunisie 2021 in a national competition held on Saturday, February 19 at Bel Azur Hotel in Hammamet. The 23-year-old medical student hails from the city of Béni Khiar in Cap Bon (Nabeul). She bested 14 other finalists to win her national title. Miss World Tunisia (Rahma Sellimi), Miss International Tunisia (Mona Ammar), Miss Earth Tunisia (Imen Mehrzi), and Miss Eco International Tunisia (Chourouk Marzouki) were also crowned during the event. The new Miss Tunisia succeeds Amani Layouni, who competed during the 70th Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico last December. Nesrine's participation in an international pageant, possibly next Miss Universe, has yet to be announced. The last Miss Tunisia winner to join Miss Universe was Aida Mzali in 1971.
