Vietnam's Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien wins Miss Grand International 2021

Miss Grand Vietnam, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, bested over 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Grand International 2021 on Saturday, December 4 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 23-year-old hospitality management student succeeds Abena of the United States of America. She's the first-ever Vietnamese woman to win the Miss Grand International beauty title. Ecuador's Andrea Victoria Aguilera finished first runner-up while Brazil's Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues was named the second runner-up. Vivianie Diaz Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Jeane Van Dam of South Africa were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. The rest of the Top 10 finalists are from Cambodia, Pokimtheng Sothida (Miss Popular Vote), Costa Rica, Adriana Moya Alvarado, Indonesia, Sophia Louise Rogan, Spain, Alba Dunkerbeck Morales, and Venezuela, Vanessa Carolina Coello Coraspe. Indonesia to host Miss Grand International 2022

Indonesia has been officially announced as the host country of the 10th year anniversary of Miss Grand International. The announcement was made during the Miss Grand International 2021 final competition held at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on December 4. Miss Grand Indonesia National Director Ivan Gunawan was welcomed onto the stage during the show so MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil can officially entrust the right to host next year's grand edition. The Miss Grand International 2022 final competition will take place on October 25, 2022, in the beautiful city of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner returns to Belize for her homecoming celebration

Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner has finally returned to Belize on Friday, December 3 after winning the first-ever major international beauty title for her country two weeks ago. The 25-year-old was warmly welcomed at the Philip Goldson International Airport by Hon. Andre Perez, Minister of Blue Economy & Civil Aviation, and his CEO Kennedy Carrillo. Mayor Bernard Wagner, who presented her with the keys to the city, also joined the welcoming ceremony with the councilors of the Belize City Council, staff of the Belize Tourism Board, and of course, the Wagner family. This weekend, a series of motorcades in her honor will take place in Belize City, up north in Orange Walk, and down south in her hometown, Punta Gorda. Five contestants were chosen by the 70th Miss Universe makeup sponsor, MUBA Cosmetics, for a special photoshoot on Thursday, December 2. They are Belgium's Kedist Deltour, India's Harnaaz Sandhu, Philippines' Beatrice Lugigi Gomez, Spain's Sarah Loinaz, and Vietnam's Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen. "MUBA photoshoot reflects on environmental sustainability and our impact on the world. Best in Swimsuit (Fan Vote) : Vietnam has won the most votes from fans for Best in Swimsuit followed by Cambodia and Indonesia while Guatemala and the Philippines completed the Top 5. National Costume Competition : The national costume competition was held on Tuesday, November 30 at the show DC Retail and Entertainment Mega Complex in Bangkok. 70th Miss Universe contestants tour Jerusalem old city in Israel

Despite imposing travel restrictions due to the Omicron coronavirus variant, Israel's hosting of the 70th Miss Universe pageant is pushing through. The contestants were taken to a tour of Jerusalem's old city on Tuesday, November 30 in their sneakers, pantsuits, and cocktail dresses. They visited some notable landmarks in the city such as the Tower of David Museum and Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. Their final itinerary of the day was a tea party at King David Hotel where they met with important persons such as Mayor Moshe Lion, local female politicians, and heads of organizations that fight poverty and violence against women. The Miss USA organization has finally shared the crowning moment of this year's winner from Kentucky, Miss USA 2021 Elle Smith. The 23-year-old journalist was crowned by Asya Branch of Mississippi during Monday night's glittering final competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma. "I am thrilled and honored to be your Miss USA 2021. I can’t say thank you enough to every single person who has supported me on this journey. Every single comment, every single message, and prayer did not go unnoticed," she shared on her social media page. "To the great state of Kentucky, you will forever have my heart. You believed and loved on me since I was crowned in May and there is no other state I would have wanted to represent on the Miss USA stage," she added. Miss Universe France Clémence Botino tests positive for COVID-19 in Israel

Miss Universe France Clémence Botino will be isolated for 10 days after testing positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Israel. The 24-year-old beauty who hails from Guadeloupe came to Israel to participate in the 70th Miss Universe pageant to be held on December 12. Unfortunately, her test results came back positive for the viral infection.  In a statement shared on her social media account, she said: "I was shocked and sad, it is truly hard. I'm a really positive person and I work really hard, and the past two years have been tough." "Even if it is hard I won't give up. Life has brought me to Israel and everything is ready. Every situation is supposed to make us stronger," she added. Clémence also encouraged her followers to be safe "because the virus is still here." There is no confirmation yet if she will be able to continue with participation in the upcoming Miss Universe final competition should her test comes back negative after isolating. P

Miss Kentucky USA Elle Smith wins Miss USA 2021

Miss Kentucky USA Elle Smith bested 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss USA 2021 on Monday, November 29 at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 23-year-old reporter is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in broadcast journalism. She is the second woman from the state of Kentucky to win the national competition.  Caitlyn Vogel of North Dakota finished first runner-up while Ashley Carino of Florida and Sydni Bennett of Illinois were named the second and third runners-up, respectively.
