Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane receives warm welcome in Botswana
The reigning Miss Supranational, Lalela Mswane, touched down at Gaborone's Sir Seretse Khama International Airport for her 2-day visit to Botswana. It is the first time a Miss Supranational winner is visiting the country. Welcomed by a group of traditional dancers and the 12 finalists competing for the Miss Supranational Botswana 2023 title, Mswane excitedly joined in with the dancers to the delight of the onlookers. "I am overwhelmed by the warmth and the beauty of the people and I feel quite overwhelmed to see such strong, accomplished women sitting in front of me today. I want to remind each one of you that it's not the crown that makes you, it's you that makes the crown," Mswane said at a press conference. "We are thrilled to have the reigning Miss Supranational here with us. We promised something big, something fresh, and something exciting to Botswana and we don’t plan on stopping here.
