Miss Universe Organization declaims crypto launch, plans legal action

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has just released an official statement regarding the "Miss Universe Coin" which was introduced at Philippine Blockchain Week. According to MUO and its owner JKN Global Group, they are not associated or involved in any way and will be pursuing all legal options with regards to this infringement. The statement reads, "There is currently no Miss Universe cryptocurrency or blockchain offering, and these products are in no way involved with the voting or selection process for MISS UNIVERSE or the Miss Universe Philippines pageants." "To our fans — please use caution and do not join in this falsely-named coin scam. We are doing everything we can to shut this down publicly so that our community is not victims of this fraud."

Miss Universe Ireland 2023 is Aishah Akorede

Aishah Akorede triumphed over nine other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2023 on Friday, September 22 at the Liberty Hall Theatre in Dublin. The 23-year-old fashion model and Beauty and the Geek UK winner from County Kildare will now prepare to represent Ireland at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Katie O'Connor was named first runner-up while Sofia Labus finished as the second runner-up. The new Miss Universe Ireland is the founder of Recrowned Ireland, a non-profit women's empowerment and social justice initiative. Aishah earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Griffith College in Dublin and her Master of Laws (LLM) from Queen's University Belfast. She is currently working as a corporate compliance consultant. Ireland was last represented at Miss Universe in 2021 with Katharine Walker. Miss Universe Italy 2023 national finale details announced

The details for this year's Miss Universe Italy national final have been announced. Miss Universe Italy 2023 will take place live from 8:30 p.m. (GMT+1) on Sunday, October 8 at Lo Smeraldo in Canosa, Puglia. Hosts of the evening will be Italian singer and TV personality Daniele Battaglia together with Sportitalia presenter Fabrizia Santarelli. Italian actors Enzo Salvi, Vittorio Marino, and Luvi will be guests on the much-awaited night of glamour and entertainment. Former Miss Universe Italy Viviana Vizzini will also grace the event with outgoing queen Virginia Stablum who will pass the crown to her successor. Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel attended as the keynote speaker for the OnCampus Awards of Hult Prize Global Finals 2023 held on Friday, September 22 in Paris, France. Named after Bertil Hult, the Hult Prize (often referred to as the Nobel Prize for students) is an annual competition to challenge young people around the world to solve the planet's most pressing issues through social entrepreneurship. Former US President Bill Clinton selects and announces the challenge topic each year and the winner receives a startup prize worth $1 million. This year's challenge "Redesigning Fashion" was to create a for-profit social venture in the fashion or clothing industry. R'Bonney, a fashion designer and sustainability advocate, took the stage to inspire the nominees in her speech. Philippines' Michelle Dee launches Global Spectrum Initiative

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, the representative of the Philippines to the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador, recently launched her own foundation, the Global Spectrum Initiative (GSI). Inspired by her two brothers on the autism spectrum, Michelle is a strong advocate for autism awareness. She has been a long-time partner and Goodwill Ambassador of the Autism Society Philippines. Her foundation is dedicated to creating a world where inclusion matters for everyone. It aims to build a strong community that fosters inclusivity and acceptance and to create a sanctuary for individuals on the autism spectrum. GSI will also provide quality resources, guidance counseling, and educational programs, and create specialized rooms for learning, sensory stimulation, occupational workshops, and socialization. 2023 major international pageant's final schedules

After the conclusion of Miss Supranational 2023 with Ecuador's Andrea Aguilera winning the title in Małopolska, Poland, there are five more international events to watch out for this year. The last three months of the year will be packed with prestigious beauty pageants taking place in Vietnam, Japan, El Salvador, and India. Miss Grand International 2023, the 11th Miss Grand International, will take place this October 25 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The next day (October 26), Miss International will hold its 61st edition (Miss International 2023) in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Come November, Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd Miss Universe pageant will be held in San Salvador, El Salvador with the final date recently announced as November 18. It's official — Miss World 2023, the 71st Miss World final, will be held on December 16 in India's capital city of New Delhi. The Miss World Organization mentioned the news when the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska and CEO Julia Morley went to the Philippines this week. "After their Manila visit, Julia and Karolina will be in preparation for the much-awaited 71st edition of the Miss World Final to be held in New Delhi, India on December 16th." New Delhi has great historical significance as an important commercial, transportation, and cultural center, as well as the political hub of India. The city is home to the iconic India Gate, a war memorial built in memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives fighting for the British Army in World War I. This is India's second time hosting Miss World after 1996 in Bangalore. Emmy award-winning TV personalities Keltie Knight and Adrienne Bailon-Houton have been announced as hosts of the upcoming Miss USA 2023 pageant. The 51 contestants vying for the coveted title are now on their way to the national competition in Reno, Nevada. Only one of them will be crowned as USA's representative to Miss Universe 2023 which is set for November 18 in El Salvador. An esteemed panel of judges who will select Morgan Romano's successor includes beauty entrepreneur and founder of One/Size Beauty Patrick Starrr, fashion designer and businesswoman Nicole Miller, actress, director, producer and entrepreneur Vivica A. Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. The 26-year-old model, social volunteer, philanthropist, and lawyer received her crown from Stephany Amado, Miss International 2022 first runner-up from Cape Verde. No stranger to pageantry, Teresa took part in Miss Universe Angola 2022 where she represented Zaire and placed in the Top 10. Former Miss Universe Cambodia, Alyna Somnang, has been officially appointed by the Miss Cambodia organization as Miss International Cambodia 2023. The 22-year-old model and actress who is currently pursuing her MBA degree in international relations will represent her country at the 61st Miss International pageant. No stranger to pageantry, Alyna was previously crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2019 and went on to participate in the 68th Miss Universe which was held in Georgia, USA. The new Miss International Cambodia is an advocate for education who has been actively promoting the importance of staying in school during her various community projects since 2019. She wants to encourage the youth to study hard and achieve their dreams to break the chain of poverty.
