Latvia returns to Miss Universe after 16 years

Latvia is set to return to the Miss Universe stage this January in New Orleans, Louisiana after missing the pageant for a decade and a half. The European country which is situated on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia last joined the international pageant in 2006 after its debut in 2005 with the then 19-year-old Ieva Kokoreviča who managed to place in the Top 10. Inga Raduga Model Management now holds the license for Miss Universe Latvia and a national final is expected to take place soon. A total of 10 contestants have been announced as shortlisted to participate in the upcoming competition. Miss Earth Venezuela 2022 is Oriana Pablos

Former Miss Distrito Capital and Miss Venezuela 2019 third runner-up Oriana Pablos has been officially named Miss Earth Venezuela 2022 on Tuesday, October 4. Hosted by Miss Supranational Venezuela 2021 Valentina Sánchez Trivella and Ronald Sanoja, the special unveiling, and the crowning ceremony was broadcasted on Globovisión with the attendance of Miss Earth Venezuela Organization President Prince Julio César and Elizabeth Gasiba, the former titleholder who resigned due to personal reasons. The newly appointed Miss Earth Venezuela is a 25-year-old production engineering student and model from Caracas who considers herself a woman of God, dedicated, sweet, empathetic, persevering, and committed, not only to her country but to her beloved family. Miss Texas USA R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned Miss USA 2022 in a glittering final show that took place on Monday, October 3 the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. The 28-year-old fashion designer and model who runs her own eco-friendly clothing line made history by becoming the first ever Filipino-American woman to win the Miss USA pageant. Morgan Romano of North Carolina finished as the first runner-up while Natalie Pieper of Nebraska, Sir'Quora Carroll of Ohio, and Angel Reyes of Illinois were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The 50th edition of Miss Intercontinental has officially kicked off last weekend in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt with the official welcome and sashing ceremony of the contestants from all across continents. Standouts were Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Crimea, Curacao, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Greece, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Thailand, USA, and Vietnam. Around 70 contestants are vying for one of the world's most coveted international titles. One of them will succeed Cinderella Faye Elle Obeñita from the Philippines, the reigning Miss Intercontinental. Miss USA 2022 final show, the 71st Miss USA pageant, is taking place tonight live from the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Hosted by American entertainment reporter Zuri Hall together with fellow TV personalities Julissa Bermudez, Micah Jesse, and FYI correspondent Christian Murphy, tonight's event features 51 of the country's most incredible young women vying for the most coveted national title of Miss USA. Miss USA 2022: R'Bonney Gabriel of Texas wins Costume Show

The Miss USA 2022 Costume Show was held on Sunday, October 2 at the pageant's official venue this year, the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Fifty-one contestants representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia paraded on stage in their colorful state costumes. Hosted by reigning Miss USA Elle Smith and FYI correspondent Christian Murhpy, three winners were announced at the end of the show which was broadcasted on missusa.tv . Miss Texas USA R'Bonney Gabriel, whose costume was inspired by the Texas state flower bluebonnet, was named the winner while Miss Tennessee USA Emily Suttle and Miss Maine USA Elizabeth Kervin were in second and third places, respectively. Miss Universe Argentina 2022 is Bárbara Cabrera

Bárbara Cabrera has been officially announced on Sunday, October 2 as Miss Universe Argentina 2022. The 26-year-old textile entrepreneur and model from Buenos Aires will now prepare to represent Argentina at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January. No stranger to pageantry, Bárbara was named Miss Eco Argentina 2020 and went on to compete in Miss Eco International 2021 in Egypt where she placed in the Top 20 and bagged the Best in Evening Gown award. "My heart explodes with happiness to be able to officially tell you that I will proudly represent Argentina in Miss Universe 2022," she wrote in Spanish on social media. "Those who know me know that it was always my big dream. Today thanks to a lot of work and the team that accompanies me, I am fulfilling it," she added.
