Maria Camila Sanabria Pereyra has been appointed as the new Miss Universe Bolivia 2022 and will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January. The 27-year-old beauty replaced the previous titleholder Maria Fernanda Pavisic Rojas who was dethroned due to her controversial "social experiment" video mocking her fellow competitors at Miss Universe. No stranger to pageantry, the newly proclaimed Miss Universe Bolivia has in October competed in Miss Grand International 2022 which was held in Indonesia and unfortunately missed a placement. Camila holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and master's in commercial management. She represented Santa Cruz at Miss Bolivia 2022 in July where she was originally named as her country's representative at Miss Supranational 2023.
