Miss Universe Jamaica 2022: Get to know the 20 contestants

Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 final competition will take place on Saturday, September 3 at the Grand Ball Room of the AC Hotel by Marriot in Kingston. Last year's titleholder Daena Soares will crown her successor among 20 beauties at the end of the event. Jamaica first joined Miss Universe in 1961 but has yet to win the crown. Its highest placement was in 2010 when Yendi Phillips finished as first runner-up. The next Miss Universe Jamaica will represent the Caribbean island nation at Miss Universe 2022. Miss USA 2022 will be held in Reno, Nevada on October 3

The 71st edition of the Miss USA pageant will be held on October 3 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Produced by The Miss Brand Corporation, under the leadership of Crystle Stewart, the venue was chosen to honor Cheslie Kryst's memory and keep her legacy alive, as this is where she was crowned in 2019. The tragic passing of the beauty queen-turned lawyer at the age of 30 in January shocked the entire pageant community. Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst Miss USA 2022 will air LIVE on FYI and Hulu Live TV at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST. The delegates from all 51 states have already been chosen. The Top 20 semi-finalists vying for the title of Miss Universe Nepal 2022 have been officially revealed. This year's edition will take place on Thursday, August 25 at Nepal's finest 5-star luxury Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu and the winner will compete in Miss Universe 2022. Reigning Miss Universe Nepal Sujita Basnet will crown her successor among the 20 beauties at the end of the event. Miss Universe Belize 2022 is Ashley Lightburn

Ashley Lightburn was crowned Miss Belize 2022 (Miss Universe Belize) on Saturday, August 13 at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts in Belize City. The 25-year-old mathematician is an adjunct math lecturer at the University of Belize and a project management officer at a bank. She holds a degree in pure mathematics and currently pursuing her master's in international business administration. Alina Scott and Samantha Singh were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of six finalists participated in this year's Miss Belize competition. Last year's titleholder Iris Salguero crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss Belize will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. Miss Universe Norway 2022 is Ida Anette Hauan

Ida Anette Hauan bested five other finalists to be crowned Miss Norway 2022 (Miss Universe Norway) on Saturday, August 13 at Samfunnssalen in Oslo. The 26-year-old model from Malvik, Trondheim succeeds last year's titleholder Nora Emilie Nakken and will represent Norway at Miss Universe 2022. Romée Dahlen, Julie Dahlen Børresen, Leni Kvalvåg, and Ida Sofie Skinlo Seater were respectively named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up while Charlotte Bøhn-Bore completed the six finalists. The new Miss Norway is an animal welfare advocate. As a member of the organization Noah, she worked hard to prevent the exploitation and mistreatment of animals throughout her country. Miss South Africa 2022 is Ndavi Nokeri

Ndavi Nokeri bested nine other finalists to be crowned Miss South Africa 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, August 13 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria. The 23-year-old beauty hails from Tzaneen in Limpopo. She holds a degree in investment management from the University of Pretoria and currently works for an asset management firm in Cape Town. Ayanda Thabethe from KwaZulu-Natal and Lebogang Mahlangu from Gauteng were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Western Cape's Luvé Meyer and Tamsyn Jack completed the Top 5 finalists. Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu from India was a special guest at the event and was part of the all-female selection committee. She was joined in the panel by former queens Zozibini Tunzi and Rolene Strauss.
