Miss Universe Singapore 2022: Get to know the Top 10 finalists

Ten finalists will be vying for the title of Miss Universe Singapore 2022 and have the opportunity to represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2022 later this year. The winner will also be able to wear the only lab-grown diamond crown designed and made in Singapore and take home prizes including a lab-grown diamond jewelry set worth $25,000. Miss Universe Singapore organization headed by former titleholder Valerie Lim has yet to announce the final date for this year's national competition. Last year's winner, Nandita Banna, made history after placing in the Top 16 during Miss Universe 2021. Miss Universe Colombia 2023 official casting took place in Bogotá

The search for the next Miss Universe Colombia, who will represent her country at Miss Universe 2023, kicked off with the official casting that took place on Monday, August 8 at Casa Dann Carlton Hotel & Spa in Bogotá. With the presence of reigning Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal, who will compete in Miss Universe 2022 later this year, the aspirants faced the selection committee including Miss Universe Colombia organization president Natalie Ackermann, Vae bienestar integral's Dr. Victoria Escalante, and businesswoman Loren Hatch. The organization has yet to reveal the list of official contestants who will be vying for the coveted national title as well as the official date and venue for the final competition. Miss Universe Puerto 2022 preliminary competition, special awards

The preliminary competition of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 took place on Sunday, August 7 from the historic Teatro Tapia (Tapia Theater) Theater in San Juan. Hosted by "NotiCentro" journalist Jorge Gelpí Pagán and "Viva la tarde" presenter Nicole Chacón, with musical numbers from Lenny Tavárez and  Christian Daniel, the colorful event featured 28 contestants competing in their preliminary swimsuits and evening gowns. The judges were veteran journalist Luz Nereida Vélez; lawyer and businesswoman Vivian Santiago; specialist in oral rehabilitation doctor Carlos Izcoa; journalist, writer and columnit for local and Latin American media Ana Teresa Toro; executive producer and casting film director Germán Legarreta; entrepreneur and Women Who Lead founder Frances Ríos; and actor Eli Cay. Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 is Tiffany Conolly

Tiffany Conolly was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 24-year-old beauty from West Bay triumphed over seven other contestants to win the national title. Chloe Powery-Doxey and Hayley Grizzel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Georgina Kerford, who competed during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. The new Miss Universe Cayman Islands will represent the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Carribean, at Miss Universe 2022 later this year. Tifanny enjoys painting, singing, interior designing, and playing sports. Miss Nicaragua 2022 is Norma Huembes

Norma Huembes was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2022 (Miss Universe Nicaragua) on Saturday, August 6 at Centro De Convenciones Crown Plaza in Managua. The 24-year-old public accountant, representing Carazo, succeeds last year's winner Allison Wassmer and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Katherine Burgos of Tipitapa was named first runner-up while Diana Navarro of Leon finished as second runner-up. Completing the Top 5 were Isabella Salgado of  Chinandega and Gabriela Calix of Cinco Pinos. A total of 10 contestants participated during this year's edition of Miss Nicaragua. Miss Universo Angola 2022 is Swelia Da Silva Antonio

Swelia Da Silva Antonio was crowned Miss Universo Angola 2022 (Miss Universe Angola 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela. The 24-year-old social scientist, from the Netherlands, bested 23 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds Miss Angola 2019 Salett Natalia Martins Miguel and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Yasser Coimbra of Bié and Nelma Tchissola of Cuanza Norte were respectively the first and second runners-up while Diana Mingas of Moxico and Mafalda Guilherme of Zaire completed the Top 5 finalists. Former Miss Universe from Angola, Leila Lopes, now holds the national license to send Angolan representatives to the Miss Universe pageant. The new Miss Universe Angola is no stranger to pageantry. Miss Universe pageant to allow mothers and married women to compete

During the 48th Miss Universe pageant held in Trinidad and Tobago, the final question was "If Miss Universe were to become pregnant during her reign, should she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?” Botswana's Mpule Kwelagobe answered: "Personally, I think Miss Universe is a symbol of a woman as well as she's celebrating her femininity, and I believe that if she should fall pregnant it will not in any way interrupt her duties. I believe as a woman she should celebrate her femininity." The then 19-year-old triumphed over Miriam Quiambao of the Philippines (first runner-up) and Diana Nogueira of Spain (second runner-up) to win the title of Miss Universe 1999, a historic first time for her country. Fast forward to today, over 20 years later, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has announced its decision to allow "women who are or have been married, as well as women who are pregnant or have children" to compete starting next year (Miss Universe 2023).
