Former national gymnast Kristen Wright was named Miss World Australia 2022 at Palazzo Versace on Queensland's Gold Coast on Friday, April 29. The 23-year-old beauty who hails from Mornington, Victoria is a biomedical student and a scuba diving instructor. She succeeds Miss World Australia 2019 Sarah Marschke and will now prepare to represent her country at Miss World 2022 later this year. This year's national competition was held after a 2-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Miss Grand Netherlands 2022 is Marit Beets

Marit Beets was crowned Miss Grand Netherlands 2022 in a national competition held at Leonardo Royal Hotel in Amsterdam last April 24. The 22-year-old human resource management student who hails from the fishing town of Volendam succeeds Nathalie Yasmin. "The news has now landed a bit, every morning when I enter the living room I see the beautiful crown then a kind of shiver always goes through my body, because it is really true," she shared on social media. "I will do everything I can to get the best out of it and the Netherlands as best as possible put it on the map," she added. Miss Makati Michelle Dee bags 6 special awards at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 prelims

Daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez, Michelle Dee bagged 6 special awards in the recently held Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminary competition at The Cove Manila. The 27-year-old beauty representing Makati City took home the Miss Kumuniverse, Miss Cream Silk, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss SavePoint, and Miss The Medical City special awards from the major sponsors. Michelle is an independent candidate (no pageant camp affiliation) and is currently one of the front-runners in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 final. No stranger to pageantry, she was a former Miss World Philippines titleholder and placed in the Top 12 at Miss World 2019. Five months after Miss Earth 2021 virtual final, reigning Miss Earth - Fire 2021 Baitong Jareerat Petsom of Thailand has been officially crowned at Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok on Sunday, April 24. Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational 2022 finals return to Nowy Sacz, Malopolska this July

Miss and Mister Supranational Organization has officially announced today that the 13th Miss Supranational and the 6th Mister Supranational competition will return to the city of Nowy Sacz in Małopolska, Poland this June and July. “Last year, our contestants truly enjoyed the beauty of the spectacular landscapes of Malopolska in the summer as well as the warmth of the local people. During the Festival of Beauty, we enjoyed a variety of activities that we showed proudly to our global audience. We are planning even more exciting adventures this year,” the organization president Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski said in a statement. The Miss Supranational 2022 final show will be broadcast from the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater on Friday, July 15 while Mister Supranational 2022 is on Saturday, July 16. Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu has finally arrived in the Philippines for her first official visit as an invited special guest for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The Indian beauty flew on a private plane from Delhi, India to Manila on Sunday, April 24. She wore a colorful dress by Ranna Gill on her arrival. María Fernanda Milián was officially announced as Miss Supranational Guatemala 2022 in a special coronation ceremony held last April 8. The 24-year-old beauty succeeds Jansodin Zuñiga who will not be able to represent Guatemala at Miss Supranational 2022 due to medical conditions. A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. It features the South Sea Pearl, the national gem of the Philippines. A new queen will wear the illustrious masterpiece during the final competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 this April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. A transgender woman, Solange Dekker, made history after entering the Top 10 of Miss Nederland 2022 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2022) in a casting held in Amsterdam on Saturday, April 16. The casting event took place at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. Former Miss Nederland winners Zoey Ivory, Rahima Dirkse, and Denise Speelman were part of the judging panel. The Top 70 official contestants who are vying for the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 have been officially announced. Every Saturday starting April 16, the "I am Miss Universe Vietnam 2022" reality TV show will air on VTV9, local channels, and exclusively on the UNI NETWORK Youtube channel. The first episode "CATCH YOUR CHANCE" will start at 8:15 p.m. local time. Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 final competition will take place this June and the winner will represent Vietnam at the 71st Miss Universe edition (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. Miss Earth Portugal 2022 is Maria Rosado

Miss Ribatejo, Maria Rosado, was crowned Miss Queen Portugal 2021 (Miss Earth Portugal 2022) in a national competition that took place between April 7 and 10 in Castro Daire, Viseu. The 21-year-old beauty from Ourém succeeds Miss Queen Portugal 2020 Gabriella Rodriguez and will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant later this year. Miss Viana do Castelo, Soraia Barbosa, Miss Braga, Inês Fernandes, and Miss Porto, Esmeralda Moreira, were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. The 10th year anniversary of the Miss Queen Portugal pageant was participated by 45 finalists from all the districts of mainland Portugal, Azores, Madeira, and the Portuguese Community of France. Miss Teen Leiria, Raquel Libório, and Mrs Viseu, Cristiana Giroto, were named  Miss Teen Portugal 2021 and Mrs Portugal 2021, respectively. Portugal has yet to win the Miss Earth crown.
