Nashaira Belisa Balentien was officially crowned as Miss World Curacao 2022 in a special coronation ceremony held on Saturday, October 29 in Willemstad. The 25-year-old philanthropist, entrepreneur, and future lawyer succeeded last year's titleholder Alvinette Soliana and will now prepare to represent Curacao at the 71st Miss World pageant. No stranger to pageantry, Nashaira previously held the title Miss Universe Curacao. She went on to participate in Miss Universe 2017 which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA but unfortunately missed placing in the Top 16. The new Miss World Curacao is passionate about helping other people. She started a foundation in 2013 and has been organizing projects in Curacao, Colombia, and some African countries. Her company, Pageant House Limited, is actively involved in philanthropy through the Pageant House Foundation. The Top 5 finalists for the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2022 Beauty With A Purpose (BWAP) fast track challenge have been officially announced. This challenge showcases the contestants' inspirational projects and the social causes they advocate. Lee Seung-hyun, a 23-year-old economics student at Korea University was crowned Miss Korea 2022 in a glittering final held on Wednesday, October 26 at the Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Yoo Si-eun, 25, a student of aviation services, and Kim Go-eun, 22, a student of aviation and aeronautical engineering, were in second and third places, respectively. Out of 54 regional winners, only 30 finalists were selected to take part in the 66th edition of the national pageant. Daria Lukonkina has been crowned Beauty of Russia (Krasa Rossii / Краса России) 2022 on Wednesday, October 26 at the Zimny Teatr (Winter Theater) in Sochi. The 19-year-old model and student from Nizhny Novgorod will represent Russia at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam. She succeeded last year's winner Ekaterina Velmakina who will go to the Philippines for Miss Earth 2022 this November. Macarena Tomas has been preparing to represent Paraguay at Miss Earth 2022 this November in the Philippines but unfortunately was disqualified due to the age limit. The 29-year-old international aero yoga (aerial yoga) instructor who was named Miss Tierra Paraguay during the Reinas del Paraguay national competition in August, failed the Miss Earth organization's age limit requirement which is 18-28 years of age (until December 2022). There is no confirmation yet whether a new representative will be selected to be sent to this year's Miss Earth edition or too late for it, but as of this writing, Paraguay has been removed from the list of delegates on the pageant's official website.
