Miss Earth 2023: Meet the contestants from Asia and Oceania

A total of 23 contestants from Asia and Oceania are currently vying for Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam. Five returning countries from the region this year consist of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, and the Northern Marianas. Asia and Oceania have held the title of Miss Earth six times since the first edition of the pageant in 2001. The Philippines leads with four wins, two of which were back-to-back in 2014 and 2015. Will there be another winner from this region this year? Miss Earth 2023: Meet the contestants from Europe

Twenty-seven of the 86 contestants currently vying for Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam came from the region of Europe. Returning countries this year include Armenia, Denmark, Germany and Ukraine. After winning the inaugural Miss Earth competition in 2001 with Denmark's Catharina Svensson, the region managed to achieve two more victories — Bosnia and Herzegovina's Dzejla Glavovic in 2002 (dethroned) and Czech Republic's Tereza Fajksova in 2012. Europe's last placement in the Top 4 was in 2020 with Michala Rubinstein of Denmark who bagged the Miss Earth - Fire title. With the largest number of participants coming from this region, will there be another European winner this year? Twenty-one contestants from the region of the Americas are currently vying for Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam. A total of four countries returned to the pageant this year — Honduras, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, and the US Virgin Islands. The Americas held the Miss Earth title 12 times in the pageant's 23-year history. Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela lead with two wins each. Will there be another winner from the region this year? A total of 15 contestants from the region of Africa are currently vying for Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam. Three returning countries this year consist of Kenya, Liberia, and Madagascar. The region held the Miss Earth title once with Winfred Omwakwe of Kenya in 2002. Its last placement in the Top 4 was in 2008 with Tanzania's Miriam Odemba. Will Africa win its second crown after 21 years? Miss Earth 2023: Top 5 winners for 'Best Appearance' announced

Following the Miss Earth 2023 blue carpet evening gown competition and "Xin Chao" welcome ceremony held last Sunday at the Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City, online voting was conducted on social media for "Best Appearance" from December 4 to December 8. Based on the officially announced voting results, the Top 5 winners for the award were the contestants from Cambodia (Pouvjessica Tan), Mongolia (Munkhchimeg Batjargal), Myanmar (Soung Hnin San), Philippines (Yllana Aduana) and Vietnam (Do Thi Lan Anh). Miss Earth 2023 competition kicks off, contestants officially sashed

The contestants vying for Miss Earth 2023 officially received their green sashes on Friday, December 1 with the presence of Miss Earth executive Peachy Veneracion and Miss Earth Vietnam's national director Truong Ngoc Anh. Around 80 eco beauties from the world have already arrived in the host country. Their sashing ceremony took place at Wink Hotels, their official residence hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Aside from meeting their fellow contestants in person and receiving their iconic sashes, their first week of activities also consists of social media interviews, fittings, rehearsals for the HCMC Tourism Week opening, and preliminary for the talent competition. Miss Earth Venezuela 2023 is Jhosskaren Carrizo

Miss Lara, Jhosskaren Smiller Carrizo has been officially declared as Miss Earth Venezuela 2023 on Wednesday, October 18 in Caracas. Prince Julio César, the president of the Miss Earth Venezuela Organization, made the special announcement on the "La Tizana" TV program on the Globovisión network. The new Miss Earth Venezuela is 27 years old hailing from Barquisimeto, Lara. She succeeds Oriana Pablo and will now represent Venezuela at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam this coming December. Jhosskaren is no stranger to pageantry, having joined Miss Venezuela 2020 where she represented the state of Lara and placed in the Top 10. In 2021, she was named The Miss Globe Venezuela and went on to participate in the 18th edition of The Miss Globe pageant in Albania where she finished as third runner-up. Miss Earth Myanmar 2023 is Soung Hnin San

Soung Hnin San was crowned Miss Earth Myanmar 2023 on Saturday, October 14 at the Royal Mei Hua Function Hall in Yangon. The 18-year-old beauty hailing from Muse, Shan State bested 19 other contestants from across the country to win the glittering national competition. She succeeded Linn Htet Htet Kyaw (Miss Earth Myanmar 2021) and will now prepare to represent Myanmar at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam this coming December. Myanmar made its Miss Earth debut in 2014 with Ei Mon Khine in the Philippines. Its highest placement was in the Top 8 with Amara Shune Lei during the Miss Earth 2020 virtual edition. Miss Earth 2023 schedule of events, new crowns announced

A press conference and announcement for the upcoming Miss Earth 2023 pageant was held on Monday, October 16 at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Present were the major sponsors, Miss Earth Vietnam queens, national director Truong Ngoc Anh, Carousel Productions (Miss Earth) Executive Vice-President Lorraine Schuck, and the reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi with her court Sheridan Mortlock and Andrea Aguiera. The queens looked stunning in their traditional Vietnamese dresses (ao dai) as they graced the occasion and shared their wonderful experiences of Vietnamese hospitality and culture. An official contract signing between Carousel Productions, Inc., TNA Entertainment, and Long Beach Pearl also took place following the announcement of the new crowns for the next Miss Earth and elemental queens. Do Thi Lan Anh was crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, October 14 at the White Palace Vo Van Kiet in Ho Chi Minh City. The 26-year-old beauty edged out 29 other contestants to win the national title. She will now represent Vietnam at Miss Earth 2023 this December. Her court of elemental queens includes Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (Miss Air), Hoang Thi Yen Nhi (Miss Water), and Hoang Thi Kim Chi (Miss Fire). The Top 11 consisted of Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang, Nguyen Thi Nhu Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc, Do Thuy Dung, Tracy Le Nguyen, Cao Thi Ngoc Bich, and Nguyen Le Diep Quyen. Reigning Miss Polonia Ewa Jakubiec has been officially appointed Miss Earth Poland 2023 and will soon head to Vietnam for the Miss Earth 2023 pageant. Ewa, a certified nurse with a specialization in anesthesiology and currently studying public health, was crowned Miss Polonia 2023 last June at the Nosalowy Dwór Resort & Spa in Zakopane. Hailing from the Opole region, the 26-year-old beauty is also a volunteer and the ambassador for various charities and health-related causes in her country. Miss Earth 2022 queens to attend Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 grand final

Three queens from  Miss Earth 2022 , Mina Sue Choi of Korea, Andrea Aguilera of Colombia, and Sheridan Mortlock of Australia touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam earlier this week. They were invited to attend as special guests for the upcoming national final of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 pageant. This is the first time since the beauties came together after the 22nd Miss Earth competition held last year in the Philippines. It is not known why Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine, one of the Top 4, could not join them. Mina and Sheridan both attended the Miss Divine Beauty 2023 (Miss Earth India 2023) final show in New Delhi, India last August. The four queens are expected to relinquish their crowns as Miss Earth, Miss Earth Fire, Miss Earth Air, and Miss Earth Water during the Miss Earth 2023 final in Vietnam this December.
