Miss Earth 2022 queens to attend Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 grand final

Three queens from  Miss Earth 2022 , Mina Sue Choi of Korea, Andrea Aguilera of Colombia, and Sheridan Mortlock of Australia touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam earlier this week. They were invited to attend as special guests for the upcoming national final of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 pageant. This is the first time since the beauties came together after the 22nd Miss Earth competition held last year in the Philippines. It is not known why Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine, one of the Top 4, could not join them. Mina and Sheridan both attended the Miss Divine Beauty 2023 (Miss Earth India 2023) final show in New Delhi, India last August. The four queens are expected to relinquish their crowns as Miss Earth, Miss Earth Fire, Miss Earth Air, and Miss Earth Water during the Miss Earth 2023 final in Vietnam this December. Reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Sunday, July 16 for her first official visit to the country. The 25-year-old Korean beauty was warmly received by TNA Entertainment headed by businesswoman, executive producer, and actress Truong Ngoc Anh. Mina will be a special guest in a press conference for Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 this Wednesday, July 19 at Caravelle Saigon. She is also expected to take part in social and promotional activities for the national competition. To recall, Miss Earth 2022 won her title from a field of over 85 contestants from all over the world last November in the Philippines. Her victory marked an important milestone as it was the first time Korea conquered Miss Earth — one of the leading and biggest beauty pageants on the planet. Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi clarifies 'crown in paper bag' situation

After arriving back in Korea, the newly crowned Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi was bashed online for one reason — she came home with her international crown placed in a paper bag. Pageant fans paid attention to her arrival video posted on social media and were quick to criticize her including the Miss Earth organization for not placing the precious crown in an appropriate box. Not new to many, the original Miss Earth crown which is made of precious gems signifying the Earth's resources stays with the organization — the winner travels with a replica. While many defended the Korean beauty queen, the "crown in a paper bag" situation did not escape the rabid online bashers from noticing. Almost a week after her historic win at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines, Korea's Mina Sue Choi has returned to her home country. Before leaving Manila, she went to social media to share her first post after winning her title. She said: "It's been a few days now, but I still can't believe it. I think this is the first time in my life that so many people congratulated me and rejoiced with me." Mina Sue Choi of Korea bested over 80 other competitors to win Miss Earth 2022 in a glittering competition held on Tuesday, November 29 at Cove Manila, Okada Manila in the Philippines. The 24-year-old communication student succeeded Destiny Wagner of Belize and became her country's first-ever Miss Earth winner. She also bagged three gold medals for the swimsuit, beach wear, and long gown competition, and one bronze for resort wear. Australia's Sheridan Mortlock, Palestine's Nadeen Ayoub, and Colombia's Andrea Aguilera finished in the Top 4 and were awarded the elemental titles Miss Earth - Air, Water, and Fire, respectively. The Top 8 were Daphné Nivelles of Belgium, Merel Hendriksen of the Netherlands, Paulina Avilés of Puerto Rico, and Sakhile Dube of Zimbabwe while Jéssica Pedroso of Brazil, Sheyla Ravelo of Cuba, Esther Ajayi of Nigeria and Maria Rosado of Portugal were the rest of the Top 12.
