Miss America, the iconic 100+ year brand, and Miss America's Scholarship Foundation have announced a 3-year commitment supporting the American Heart Association's women's initiative, Go Red for Women raising awareness of women’s heart health and bringing fitness initiatives back to the national competition stage. Miss America's CEO Robin Fleming feels that "Empowering women in America means making health a priority - heart disease is the leading cause of death for women ages 20 and older. We need to raise awareness and incorporate fitness initiatives to create better outcomes." Miss America 2024: Meet the contestants

Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. While the official date and venue of the national final have not yet been announced, all 51 state representatives have already been crowned. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes. For the first time since scrapping the swimsuit competition in 2018, there will be a segment that focuses on health and fitness. The CEO clarified, the contestants will not be judged based on their physical appearance. "There is NO SCORE given on appearance, the health & fitness segment is to bring awareness to women's health issues and give a platform to women to inspire and inform all women on best health practices." Miss California 2023 is Sabrina Lewis of Berkeley

Sabrina Lewis, representing Berkeley, edged out 42 other competitors to win Miss California 2023 on Saturday, July 1 at the Visalia Convention Center in Downtown Visalia, California. The 26-year-old equestrian and an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) succeeds last year's titleholder Catherine Liang, a financial analyst from Bay Area. Asha Bhattacharya of Anaheim Hills was named first runner-up while Taylor Yamane of Riverside City, Mahika Valluri of Northern California, and Katie Tessier of Los Angeles County were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The title of Miss California's Teen 2023 went to San Deigo's Marlie Wright who will now proceed to the Miss America's Teen 2024 pageant. Wisconsin's Grace Stanke crowned Miss America 2023

Miss Wisconsin Grace Stanke was crowned Miss America 2023 on Thursday, December 15 at the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut. The 20-year-old classical violinist and nuclear engineering student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison edged out 50 other competitiors to win her national title. She also bagged the Talent award during the peliminary competition. "I am so incredibly honored. I'm representing the women who can, we're not put in boxes, we're here to make a change and change the world so thank you so much, i am so honored," she emotionaly replied when asked how she feels about winning Miss America shortly after her coronation. Miss America 2023: Meet the preliminary nights' special awardees

Fifty-one of the country's most intelligent, confident, talented, and community-minded young women are currently vying for the Miss America 2023 title in Uncasville, Connecticut. Prior to the final night competition that will be held this Thursday, December 15 at the Mohegan Sun, two preliminary nights were held and four contestants bagged special awards. The first preliminary night was held on Monday, December 12. Miss Indiana, Elizabeth Hallal, earned the Talent award, and Miss Georgia, Kelsey Hollis, earned the Social Impact Pitch award. On the second preliminary night which was held on Tuesday, December 13, Miss Wisconsin, Grace Stanke, earned the Talent award, and Miss Iowa, Bailey Hodson, earned the Social Impact Pitch award. Washington's Morgan Greco was crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2023 on Friday, August 12 at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas. The runners-up were Lauren Williams of the District of Columbia, J-Belle Kimbrell of Texas, Julia Schumacher of Minnesota, and Dajania James of New York. Last year's winner, an actress and singer from Birmingham, Alabama, Marcelle LeBlanc, crowned her successor at the end of the event. Miss Alaska, Emma Broyles, was crowned Miss America 2022 during the 100th anniversary of the national pageant held on Thursday, December 16 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The 20-year-old beauty from Anchorage is a student at Arizona State University. She bested 50 other contestants to succeed Camille Schrier of Virginia and become the first-ever Miss America winner from Alaska. Alabama's Lauren Bradford was named first runner-up while Massachussetts' Elizabeth Pierre finished second runner-up. Sydney Park of New York and Abigail Hayes of Oregon were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
