The Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2023 grand coronation night was held on Thursday, April 13 at the Condado Plaza Hilton Hotel in San Juan. Hosted by former titleholder Nicole Marie Colón and actor Eli Cay, the glittering show featured a total of 16 beauties competing for the three coveted crowns at stake. Miss Rio Grande, Amanda Paola Pérez Solís, was crowned Miss International Puerto Rico 2023 while Miss Cataño, Camille Fabery, and Miss Caguas, Cristina Ramos clinched the Miss Supranational Puerto Rico 2023 and Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2023 titles, respectively. They will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at Miss International 2023 (Japan), Miss Supranational 2023 (Poland), and Miss Grand International 2023 (Vietnam). Former Miss Universe Argentina Mariana Valera and fellow beauty queen from Puerto Rico, Fabiola Valentín, revealed they had secretly tied the knot after keeping their relationship private for a long time. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place last Friday, October 28 in San Juan, Puerto Rico where same-sex marriage has been legal since 2015. Back in 2019, they both tried to join Miss Universe but while Mariana won her national title and went on to compete in the prestigious pageant in Atlanta, Georgia, Fabiola was not lucky enough to take home the Miss Universe Puerto Rico title as she only placed in the Top 3. San Sebastian's Paola González Torres, a 23-year-old chemistry student, was named Miss International Puerto Rico 2022. She succeeds last year's titleholder Natalia Colón and is expected to represent Puerto Rico at Miss International 2022 pageant in Japan later this year. Miss Grand International 2021 welcome ceremony and press conference was held on Thursday, November 18 at the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand. Fifty-eight contestants wearing their stunning evening gowns and respective crowns arrived at the venue in a sports car. They raised a toast with the reigning queen Abena Appiah and MGI executives during the glittering event. Miss Puerto Rico, Vivianie Diaz Arroyo topped our list of best-dressed contestants followed by representatives from the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, and Myanmar.
