Miss Guadeloupe 2023 is Jalylane Maës for Miss France 2024

Jalylane Maës was crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2023 in a regional competition held on Wednesday, July 19 at Palais des Sports et de la Culture du Gosier. The 18-year-old student and TV presenter bested 11 other competitors to win the regional title. She succeeds last year's winner and reigning Miss France Indira Ampiot. Her court of runners-up consists of Vilynnda Michel, Mélina Le Tumelin, Williane Segor, and Dina Latchoumanin. "July 19th is a date that changed my life and that's all because of you. You brought me love from the beginning to election night and even more today," said the new Miss Guadeloupe. Jalylane will now prepare to represent Guadeloupe at Miss France 2024 final to be held this December. Miss France 2023 is Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe

Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe was crowned Miss France 2023 on Saturday, December 17 at M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire. The 18-year-old beauty from Basse-Terre beat 29 other contestants representing various French regions and departments to become the fourth woman from Guadeloupe to win the national title. She received the new crown from her predecessor Diane Leyre of Île-de-France. Agathe Cauet of  Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Marion Navarro of Franche-Comté, Axelle René of Martinique, and Alissia Ladevèze of Auvergne were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Prior to winning Miss France, the new queen won the title of Miss Basse-Terre and Miss Guadeloupe 2022. During the national competition, she received the maximum score from both the jury and the French public. Indira was awarded a number of prizes, including a multitude of gifts from sponsors, a year-long residence in a luxury Paris apartment, and an undisclosed monthly salary

Clémence Botino to represent France at 71st Miss World

Miss France 2020 Clémence Botino has been officially announced on Tuesday, October 11 to represent France at the 71st Miss World pageant. Hailing from Guadeloupe, the 25-year-old island beauty was crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2019 prior to winning the prestigious Miss France pageant. She was sent to Miss Universe 2021 in Israel last December and managed to place in the Top 10 among 80 contestants. Clemence is a hard-working student who believes that school and education are keys to success. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in art history at Sorbonne University in Paris. As a rum ambassador, she considers French rum as a luxury product that deserves international recognition and she thinks the youth must be encouraged to learn more about the local economy. She also wants to show that there is nothing women cannot do even in a male-dominated industry.
