Newcastle's Alisha Cowie was crowned Miss International UK 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, June 10 at the Parr Hall Theatre in Warrington, Chesire. The 24-year-old model and professional photographer bested over 50 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss International 2022 Top 15 semifinalist Evanjelin Elchmanar. Brooke Nicola Smith, Caitlin Ochana, Paige Warren, and Aimi Stanley were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss International UK is a former Miss England winner who participated in Miss World 2018 in Sanya, China. Alisha will now prepare to represent the United Kingdom at the 61st Miss International (Miss International 2023) pageant this October in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Miss West Midlands, Evanjelin Elchmanar, was crowned Miss International UK 2021 in a glittering competition held at the the Park Hall Hotel in Lancashire last July 23. The 21-year-old beauty of Sri Lankan descent and former Miss Teen Great Britain succeeded previous winner and Miss International runner-up, Harriotte Lane. Heather Hopkins and Kassandra Barker were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
