Celinee Santos Frias was crowned Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024 during the Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 final competition held on Sunday, May 5 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. The 24-year-old model and actress, representing Distrito Nacional, will now represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. Melissa Nuñez of the Dominican Community in the USA was named first runner-up while Haidy Cruz of Monte Cristi finished as the second runner-up. Gemmy Quelliz of Santo Domingo Este, Alba Blair of Jarabacoa, and Karibel Perez of Santiago were the third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Dominican Republic succeeds the previous winner Mariana Downing who unfortunately unplaced during last year's Miss Universe competition.
