Miss South Africa Organization has officially announced that Lalela Mswane will be sent to the 13th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant. The 24-year-old beauty was crowned Miss South Africa last October in Cape Town. She went on to participate in the 70th Miss Universe pageant last December in Israel and placed second runner-up among 80 contestants. Miss South Africa CEO Stephanie Weil said, "We are super excited about this year’s edition of Miss Supranational and that Lalela will represent us at this prestigious event." “We once again call on all South Africans to show their support and we believe she will make us all proud,” she added. Miss Mexico Organization has officially announced Regina González Salman as Miss Supranational Mexico 2022 on Thursday, February 10 via social media. The 19-year-old is a graphic designer and student of industrial engineering and business innovation. She was previously designated as Miss Quintana Roo and competed during last year's Miss Mexico where she placed as first runner-up. Regina will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant, possibly to be held this July in Poland. Miss Polski organization has officially announced its reigning queen Agata Wdowiak as Poland's representative at Miss Supranational 2022 competition. The 24-year-old model from Lodz was crowned Miss Polski 2021 in August last year and went on to compete at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Israel. "I'm more than excited. Another international contest ahead of me," she shared on her social media account. Agata has a degree in business management and is currently studying Nanotechnology. She has always been passionate about music and graduated from music school with honors. Miss Supranational 2022 will be the 13th edition of the Poland-based pageant. Miss Supranational Germany 2022 title was won by Sabrina-Merlina Binder in a national competition held on January 7 at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The 25-year-old Filipino-German beauty from Munich bested seven other finalists to win her national title. She will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Supranational 2022 competition, possibly later this year, in Poland. Lalela Mswane bested nine other finalists to be crowned Miss South Africa 2021 in a glittering competition held at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on Saturday, October 16. The 24-year-old model and dancer from KwaZulu-Natal holds a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Pretoria. She succeeds last year's winner, Shudufhadzo Musida. Zimi Mabunzi and Moratwe Masima were named runners-up while Bianca Bezuidenhout and Jeanni Mulder completed the Top 5. The prestigious national pageant was attended by reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza, Miss World Toni-Ann Singh and Miss Supranational Chanique Rabe. Miss Turkey 2021 has crowned its official representatives for the next Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational pageants on Wednesday, September 8 in Istanbul. Dilara Korkmaz, 23, Cemrenaz Turhan, 23, and Şira Sahilli, 21, were announced as Miss Turkey World 2021, Miss Turkey Universe 2021, and Miss Turkey Supranational 2021, respectively. Su Bige Korucu was named Miss Farmasi Turkey. While master's student Dilara will go on to represent Turkey at Miss World 2021 pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico, engineering student Cemrenaz will travel to Eilat, Israel for Miss Universe 2021. The Top 10 finalist of the Miss South Africa 2021 national competition was virtually announced on Tuesday, August 3 on the pageant's online platform. Four finalists are from Gauteng, three from Western Cape, two from Eastern Cape and one from KwaZulu-Natal. They are Zimi Mabunzi, Jeanni Mulder, Bianca Bezuidenhout, Cheneil Hartzenberg, Kgothatso Dithebe, Catherine Groenewald, Moratwe Masima, Kaylan Matthews, Lalela Mswane and Tiffany Francis. The distinguished panel of judges includes former Miss South Africa titleholders Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala (2010), Liesl Laurie (2015), Melinda Bam (2011), and Tamaryn Green (2018). Miss Florida, Sophia Acosta, bested 16 other contestants to win the title of Miss Supranational USA 2021 in a national competition held last June 19 in Rosemont, Illinois. The runners-up were Felicity Véliz, Natalie Iman Duvalsaint, Devon Caleyy and Alexis Orozco. Sophia is expected to represent the United States at the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant to be held in Poland. "I have no words to express how blessed and honored I feel after being crowned Miss Supranational USA. It has been a long journey of hard work, dedication, and determination.
