Former Miss Mississippi USA, Madeleine Overby, has been officially announced as Miss Supranational USA 2021. The 23-year-old beauty from Dothan, Alabama is currently a nursing student at Troy University where she plans to graduate with her master's and start a career as a cardiothoracic surgical nurse. Madeleine has appeared on the TV show “America’s Most Talented Kids” and is a former NFL cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. "It’s always been my dream to compete internationally, and now I am getting that chance," she wrote on social media. "I’m so grateful not only for this opportunity but for the team surrounding me and believing in me to compete at such a high level while letting me show my true self." The Puteri Indonesia organization has announced on its digital platforms that the registration for this year's competition (Puteri Indonesia 2021) is now officially open. If you have what it takes to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Supranational, visit the Puteri Indonesia official website www.puteri-indonesia.com to register. Puteri Indonesia has been held since 1992 by the Yayasan Puteri Indonesia (Indonesian Princess Foundation), chaired by Mooryati Soedibyo and sponsored by the cosmetics company Mustika Ratu. The reigning queens, Puteri Indonesia 2020 Ayu Maulida (Miss Universe Indonesia), Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020 Ayu Saraswati (Miss International Indonesia), and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020 Jihane Almira (Miss Supranational Indonesia), will each compete in their respective international pageants this year. The winners of Miss South Africa 2020 have been finally assigned to their respective international competitions. Miss South Africa organizers made the official announcement on social media. Shudufhadzo Musida will go to Miss World while the runners-up, Thato Thelma Mosehle and Natasha Joubert, will go to Miss Supranational and Miss Universe pageants, respectively. Miss World and Miss Supranational are expected to be held later this year while Miss Universe will be in the first quarter of 2021. Namrata Shrestha bested 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss Nepal World 2020 in a national competition held on Saturday, December 5. She succeeds last year’s titleholder, Anushka Shrestha. The 23-year-old sociology student and a kindergarten teacher will represent Nepal at the 70th Miss World pageant to be held in the last quarter of 2021. Sandhya Sharma, Supriya Shrestha, and Simal Kanaujiya were named Miss Nepal International, Miss Nepal Earth, and Miss Nepal Supranational, respectively, while Merisa Singh Suwal and Ayesha Shrestha completed the Top 6. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the 25th edition of Miss Nepal was held without an audience. The competition aired on Kantipur TV from the Park Village Resort in Kathmandu.
