Miss Louisiana USA 2023 is Sylvia Masters

Miss Sportsman's Paradise USA Sylvia Masters was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2023 on Saturday, February 4 at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie, Louisiana. The 27-year-old news anchor and accomplished musician from Houma succeeded KT Scannell and will represent Louisiana at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall. Rounding out the Top 5 were first runner-up Josie Stephens of Acadiana, second runner-up Lexie Martin of Baton Rouge, third runner-up Trinitee Johnson of Southeast, and fourth runner-up Ella Clark of Crescent City. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Louisiana USA already joined the state competition several times before winning the state title. She was named third runner-up in 2021 and second runner-up in 2022. Sylvia is a graduate of Nicholls State University with a degree in mass communication and journalism. She is currently a morning anchor and reporter for KLFY News 10 in Lafayette covering news and events that affect Acadiana and Southwest Louisiana

Miss Massachusetts USA 2023 is Annika Sharma

Miss Commonwealth, Annika Sharma, was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA 2023 on Sunday, January 29 at Boston Marriott Burlington. The 22-year-old Indian-American beauty from New Jersey is a student at Boston College and a former Miss Massachusetts Teen USA winner. She will now represent Massachusetts at Miss USA 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada later this year. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Miss Boston, Tatyana Brown; Miss Roslindale, Britt High; Miss Medford, Laura Dos Santos; and Miss Attleboro Falls, Melissa Sapini. They were announced as the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2023 Yanelyn Quintana, 16, from Haverhill, was also crowned at the same venue. She will now go on to represent her state at the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant. Miss Alabama USA 2023 is Sophie Burzynski

Miss Auburn-Opelika Sophie Burzynski was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2023 in a state pageant held on Saturday, January 28 at Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn. The 21-year-old wedding videographer and a senior student at Auburn University bested over 30 other competitors to win the state title. Last year's winner, Katelyn Vinson, passed the crown to her successor who will now prepare to represent the state of Alabama at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada possibly this fall. The runners-up were Miss Greystone Noelia Voigt, Miss Southern Plains Diane Westhoven, Miss Rover Region Margaret Anne McNeill, and Miss Huntsville Randee Hinson-McCrary. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, the new Miss Alabama USA aspires to become a dentist and is currently a double major in nutritional science and business management.  Sophie has been eyeing to fulfill her pageant dream for six years and winning last night's competition was part of it. Miss Wailea Savannah Gankiewicz was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2023 in a state competition held on Sunday, January 15 at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. The 27-year-old model of Filipino, Vietnamese and Polish descent from Maui was also awarded Miss Photogenic. She will now represent Hawaii at the Miss USA 2023 pageant in Reno, Nevada later this year. Kawena Kan-Hai, Breea Yamat, Mikayla Baptista, and Ronelle Valera were announced as the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Last year's titleholder who competed in Miss USA 2022 last October, Kiana Yamat, passed the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Another winner proclaimed at the same venue was Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2023 Noelani DeNisi. She was crowned by her predecessor Malulani Paiste and will be heading to the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant. Mackenzie Kuiken, representing South Bend, was crowned Miss Washington Teen USA 2023 on Sunday, November 13 at the IKEA Performing Arts Center in Renton. The 16-year-old South Bend High School student succeeds last year's winner Kate Dixon and will now prepare to represent Washington at the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant. Puget Sound representative Angelique Dela Cruz was named first runner-up while Summer Petrisko of Snoqualmie, Ella Roehr of Pierce County, and Calli Warren of Lewis County rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Washington Teen USA is a member of her school's varsity cheer, volleyball, basketball, and track teams. Additionally, she is part of the National Honor Society and the social media manager for Key Club. Mackenzie’s platform “Girls with Game” is advocating the importance of physical and mental health by encouraging girls to get involved in sports, clubs, and the arts.
