Miss Alabama USA 2023 is Sophie Burzynski


Miss Auburn-Opelika Sophie Burzynski was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2023 in a state pageant held on Saturday, January 28 at Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn.

The 21-year-old wedding videographer and a senior student at Auburn University bested over 30 other competitors to win the state title.

Last year's winner, Katelyn Vinson, passed the crown to her successor who will now prepare to represent the state of Alabama at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada possibly this fall.

The runners-up were Miss Greystone Noelia Voigt, Miss Southern Plains Diane Westhoven, Miss Rover Region Margaret Anne McNeill, and Miss Huntsville Randee Hinson-McCrary.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, the new Miss Alabama USA aspires to become a dentist and is currently a double major in nutritional science and business management. 

Sophie has been eyeing to fulfill her pageant dream for six years and winning last night's competition was part of it. She wants to become an agent for transformative impact in empowering others.

Miss Teen Alabama USA 2023 Kensey Collins, a 15-year-old high school student from Spanish Fort, was also crowned at the same venue. She succeeded AnnaLee Story and will proceed to compete in the Miss Teen USA 2023 national final.

Ava LeBlanc of Shelby County, Jaycee Parker of Mobile, Georgia Busby of Queen City, and Halle Sullivan of Camellia State round out the Top 5 for the teenage division.

Miss Grand USA 2025 is Ivana Garcia of Ohio

Miss Grand Ohio Ivana Garcia was crowned Miss Grand USA 2025 in a national competition held last Monday, August 18 in Las Vegas. The 23-year-old model and entrepreneur will represent the USA at Miss Grand International 2025 in Thailand this October. She succeeds last year's winner Cora Griffen. Andrea Valentina Nunez of East Coast was named first runner-up while Rachelle di Stasio of Washington, Christianah Adejokun of Southern States, and Emely Aleman of Tennessee were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This year's competition marks the fourth occasion it will take place in Reno after 2019, 2022, and 2023. Also, this will be the first edition under the leadership of the new Chairman, President, and CEO, Thom Brodeur. Miss Venezuela Earth 2025 is Roziel Borges

Roziel Borges was officially crowned Miss Venezuela Earth 2025 in a special ceremony that took place on Globovisión's "La Tizana" show on Tuesday, October 7. The 24-year-old language student, model and community manager born in Maracay, Aragua received the crown from her predecessor Karleys Rojas. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Venezuela Earth has previously won two international beauty titles — Miss Tourism Planet 2023 in Greece and Beauty of the World 2024 in China. Aadya Srivastava from Headford, County Galway was crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2025 on Saturday, October 4 at Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel.
