New Zealand returns to Miss Universe with Kiwi-Filipina Franki Russell

After a 4-year hiatus, New Zealand is set to return to the Miss Universe stage with the recently appointed Miss Universe New Zealand 2024 Franki Russell. The 29-year-old Kiwi-Filipina beauty was awarded the national title by this year's Miss Universe license holder for New Zealand, Dubai-based celebrity producer and publisher Josh Yugen. New Zealand was last represented at the Miss Universe pageant with Diamond Langi in 2019. The country has won the Miss Universe crown once with Lorraine Downes in 1983. The new Miss Universe New Zealand will now prepare for the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) competition to be held in Mexico later this year. Miss Universe Greece 2024 is Christianna Katsieri

Christianna Katsieri has been officially announced as Miss Universe Greece 2024 by the Star & Mr GS Hellas organization. The 22-year-old model has previously held the title Miss GS Hellas 2022 and became Miss Earth Greece 2023. She went on to represent Greece at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. Her predecessor Marielia Zaloumi was last year's Star GS Hellas and Miss Universe Greece, who went to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. Miss Universe Belize 2024 is Halima Hoy

Halima Hoy was crowned Miss Universe Belize 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, April 13 at Belize Civic Centre in Belize City. The 29-year-old certified personal trainer and fitness coach from Port Loyola will represent her country at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico later this year. Maryam Abdul-Qawiyy was named first runner-up while Myra Sibrian was announced as the second runner-up. Former Miss Earth Destiny Wagner, the first Miss Earth winner from Belize, graced the event as part of the esteemed panel of judges. Belize's last representative at Miss Universe was Ashley Lightburn, Miss Universe Belize 2022. She participated in the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA last January 2023. From 60 beauties who participated during the casting day, only 16 will now move on as finalists for Miss Universe Netherlands 2024. The selection event and official announcement of the Top 16 finalists took place on Saturday, April 13 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Previously held by Monica van Ee of the Miss Nederland organization, the license for Miss Universe Netherlands has been taken over this year by Milou Verhoeks of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. Last year's winner under Miss Nederland was Rikkie Valerie Kollé , the first-ever transgender woman to represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe pageant. Ten women have been selected for the opportunity to compete for the national title currently held by last year's winner Melissa Ingraham . Melissa participated in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in San Salvador, El Salvador last November. The final group of national finalists for Miss Universe Australia 2024 was revealed during the South Australia state final on Monday, April 8 at Feathers Hotel in Burnside. Three beauties have been selected to represent South Australia at the national competition in August. They are Courtney Spear, Olivija Spanovskis, and Belinda Lesi. They will join the other finalists previously selected from Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales to compete for this year's coveted crown. The state final for Victoria was held on Friday, April 5 at Bar Bambi in Melbourne, Australia. At the end of the event, Elizabeth Kalash, Laetitia Greco, Alana Deutsher-Moore, Octavia Beck, Alysia Salley, Renee Mourad, and Amy Lee earned their coveted spots as national finalists. A total of six national finalists for the Miss Universe Australia 2024 competition have already been selected from the west coast. This year's Miss West Coast state final took place on Tuesday, April 2 at The Camfield in Burswood, Perth. Indira Streckfuss was named Miss West Coast 2024, succeeding Brooklyn Metropolis, last year's titleholder and second runner-up at Miss Universe Australia 2023. The rest of the women who secured a spot as national finalists were Sifundo Nhlebela, Ally Draper, Mikaela Giancaspro, Unice Wani, and Olivia Allen. They will be representing Australia's largest state, Western Australia, at the Miss Universe Australia 2024 final this August. Kenza Ameloot crowned Miss Belgium 2024

Kenza Ameloot was crowned Miss Belgium 2024 in a national competition held last February 24 at the Proximus Theater (formerly Plopsa Theater) in De Panne. The 22-year-old international business student from Ghent bested over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner, Miss Belgium 2023 Emilie Vansteenkiste. Estelle Toulemonde and Julie Mortier were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Arwen Van Gucht, Parnian Robatsarpooshi, and Marie Rousseaux rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Belgium is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) pageant in Mexico this November.
