Solaris Barba has been officially crowned as Miss Universo Panamá 2022 (Miss Universe Panama) in a special grand coronation event that took place on Friday, September 2 in Panama City. The 23-year-old model, businesswoman, and TV host received her crown from Ricardo Canto, the president of the new Miss Universo Panamá organization. She was appointed last May and the official announcement was made at a special press conference. This year, a new crown called "La Mariposa de Los Dos Mares" (The Butterfly of the Two Seas) which was designed by the organization president himself and crafted by Venezuelan jeweler and crown maker George Wittels has been introduced.
