Miss Indonesia 2024 is Monica Sembiring from North Sumatra

Monica Kezia Sembiring was crowned Miss Indonesia 2024 (Miss World Indonesia 2024) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, May 29 at Studio RCTI+ in Jakarta. The 22-year-old from the North Sumatra province bested 37 other contestants to win the national title. She is expected to represent her country at the 72nd Miss World festival. Carita Adity of D.I Yogyakarta placed first runner-up while Anna Dananjaya of Bali, Priyanka Ariffia of DKI Jakarta, and Arindina Taim of Aceh were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Martha Lena of Riau and Virginia Martina of the Highland Papua province were respectively awarded Miss Favorite and Miss Friendship. Hosted by Robby Purba and Amanda Zevannya, the final show was attended by the reigning Miss World from the Czech Republic, Krystyna Pyszková. Miss Sulawesi Utara, Audrey Vanessa Susilo was crowned Miss Indonesia 2022 on Thursday, September 15 at Studio RCTI+ in Jakarta. The 22-year-old Monash University student representing the North Sulawesi province bested 36 other contestants to win her national title. She was also announced as the winner of the Talent and Social Media fast track. Completing the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Ida Ayu Laksmi of Bali, second runner-up Alyssandra Winyoto of Jawa Timur, third runner-up Angelina Aqila of Kalimantan Barat, and fourth runner-up Naomy Angelica Sembiring of Riau. At the end of the show, last year's winner and Miss World Asia Pricilia Carla Yules passed her crown on to her successor who will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss Indonesia 2022: 37 finalists compete for the title on September 15

A total of 37 finalists representing the provinces of Indonesia will compete for Miss Indonesia 2022 next Thursday, September 15 in Jakarta. Due to the expansion of Papua Province, three new provinces are being represented this year - the Papua Selatan (South Papua), Papua Tengah (Central Papua), and Papua Pegunungan (Highland Papua). An official press conference took place on Friday, September 9 at MNC Studios to formally introduce the finalists to the media. This year's pageant will be the 17th edition of Miss Indonesia. No competition was held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pricilia Carla Yules, who won the title in 2020, placed in the Top 6 and bagged the Miss World Asia title at the 70th Miss World final last March in Puerto Rico.
