Huynh Tran Y Nhi was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 22 at MerryLand Quy Nhon. The 21-year-old business administration student from Binh Dinh bested 39 other competitors to bag the national title. She was also announced the winner of the Top Model challenge. Dao Thi Hien and Huynh Minh Kien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Bui Khanh Linh and Tran Thi Thoa Thuong rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland attended the glittering event as a special guest. The new Miss World Vietnam succeeds last year's winner Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong and will now prepare to represent Vietnam at Miss World 2024. Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2022 on Friday, August 12 at MerryLand Quy Nhon in the province of Binh Dinh. The 22-year-old beauty from Dong Nai province bested 36 other contestants to win her national title. She will represent her country at the 71st Miss World competition. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc and Nguyen Phuong Nhi were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh and Nguyen Thuy Linh completed the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss World Vietnam is no stranger to pageantry. She won Miss Dong Nai University 2018 in her first pageant and placed in the Top 5 in Miss Vietnam 2020. This year's competition was the second edition of the Miss World Vietnam pageant. The winner of its first edition was Luong Thuy Linh, who went on to compete in Miss World 2019 and placed in the Top 12.
