Jason Dylan Bretfelean was proclaimed Mister Global 2023 during the 9th Mister Global edition held on Sunday, November 26 in Mahasarakham, Thailand. The 19-year-old business administration student, athlete, and model bested over 30 other competitors to win the international title. He became the first-ever Mister Global winner from India. Hong Kong's Oliver Cheung was named first runner-up while the contestants from Chile, Álvaro Flores Carvajal, Taiwan, Kevin Davalos Tai, and Vietnam, Le Huu Dat were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Top 10 were Ruddy Alexander Taveras of the Dominican Republic, Bruno Barbieri of Ecuador, Jeung Yoon Lim of Korea, José Carlos Novelo of Mexico, and Jonathan Albert Lambert of South Africa. Rounding out the Top 15 were Myanmar, Ye Thway Thiha, Nigeria, Shuaib Oluwaseyifunmi Araga, Panama, Raúl Pinto, Philippines, John Ernest Tanting, and Switzerland, Marcel Ignacio Riera. The Mister RNB España 2023 national final competition was held on Sunday, October 22 at the Alannia Resorts in Salou, Tarragona. Mister Global 2023, the 9th Mister Global pageant, will be taking place in the province of Mahasarakham, Thailand. Its official schedule has been announced. The upcoming international competition, expected to welcome more than 40 contestants from around the world, will be the second edition to be held in the central northeastern province. Last year's winner, Mister Global 2022 Juan Carlos Ariosa from Cuba, will relinquish his remarkable reign at the end of the much-awaited event. Mister Pilipinas Worldwide 2023, the inaugural edition of the newest national male pageant in the Philippines, was held last Saturday, May 6 at Cove Manila. Mahasarakham, Thailand has been announced as the official host city of Mister Global 2023, the 9th Mister Global edition from November 15 to November 26, 2023. Also spelled as Maha Sarakham, the province is one of the 76 provinces of Thailand which lies in the heart of Isan, the country's northeastern region. According to the official website of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the province is famous for its historical sites, beautiful Buddhist temples and Buddha images, and exquisite woven materials, including handmade silk and cotton fabrics. Its people are primarily engaged in agriculture, the mainstay of the province’s economy. This year's competition will be the second Mister Global edition to be held in Mahasarakham, the first time was the 7th edition (Mister Global 2021) which was held in March 2022. Mister Global 2022 Juan Carlos Ariosa will crown his successor at the end of the event. Further details of the next competition are yet to be announced.
