Four months after making history by winning her country's first golden crown, Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin of Brazil has officially returned home. The beauty queen touched down at São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport on Saturday, March 4 to a warm welcome from her fans and supporters. She was accompanied on her homecoming trip by the president of the Miss Grand International organization, Nawat Itsaragrisil. Miss Ukraine 2023 winner will be chosen through online voting

For the first time in history, the next Miss Ukraine who will represent her country at Miss World 2023 will be chosen only through online voting. The announcement was made in Kyiv by the chairperson of the Miss Ukraine Committee, Veronika Shchiptsova, who also mentioned the importance of running the competition despite the military aggression in the country. According to Veronika, it will be an opportunity for the next Ukrainian representative on the prestigious global stage to draw attention to the ongoing conflict. The casting was done in person and online as some aspirants were forced to travel abroad. A total of 15 selected finalists, yet to be announced, will be vying for the national title. Kirby Elizabeth Self, representing Upstate, was crowned Miss South Carolina USA 2023 on Saturday, March 4 at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center in North Charleston. The 23-year-old beauty from Greenwood, South Carolina, is a former track athlete champion and a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in political science and women's leadership. She bested over 20 other competitors to win the state title and will now prepare to represent South Carolina at the Miss USA 2023 pageant in Reno, Nevada later this year. Kira Geiss was proclaimed Miss Germany 2023 in a glittering grand final held on Saturday, March 4 at the Europa-Park Arena in Rust, Germany. The 20-year-old theology student, visual merchandiser, and aspiring religious and community educator from Magdeburg bested nine other finalists to win the national title. Rounding out the Top 10 were Audrey Boateng, Catharina Convents, Chantal Epli, Eva Plazcek, Lena Petrides, Romy Kölzer, Sandra Friedrichs, Saskia von Bargen, and  Vanessa Didam. The new Miss Germany succeeded last year's winner Domitila Barros, a Brazilian social entrepreneur and actress from Berlin. Kira took home prize money worth 25,000 euros and an official sash. Mexico's Mariana Macias wins 29th Top Model of the World

Mariana Macias Ornelas of Mexico was named Top Model of the World 2022/2023 in a glittering competition held on Friday, March 3 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The 26-year-old model and business owner from Chapala, Jalisco bested over 40 other beauties to win the title. She succeeded the winner from last year's edition Natálie Kočendová of the Czech Republic. Leicy Rivas Moreno of Colombia and  Sandani Peiris of Sri Lanka were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Danilka German of the Dominican Republic, Isabelle Linnea Åhs of Sweden, and Sorn Likhitpaksorn Vajidsuwan of Thailand rounded out the Top 6 finalists. The representatives from Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Maldives, Puerto Rico, Romania, Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zambia completed the Top 16 semifinalists. Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night will be held on Saturday, May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines. The official announcement was made by the national organization via social media on Friday, March 3 following the introduction of the Top 40 contestants vying for this year's coveted title. A total of 40 contestants representing various cities and municipalities of the Philippines will fight for the crown and get the opportunity to represent the country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador later this year. Due to health reasons, one of the contestants Evangeline Fuentes of Pangasinan withdrew but she was officially replaced by Kristeen Mae Boccang from the beautiful province of Apayao. Keno Manzur acquires Miss Universe license for Argentina, applications now open for Miss Universo Argentina 2023 After Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Argentina has also entered a new era in pageantry with a new national director for Miss Universe Argentina and he is no other than Keno Manzur. A commercial engineer by profession, Keno has many years of experience in beauty pageants. He also holds licenses for Miss Earth, Miss World, and Miss Universe Chile, among others. Besides running prestigious national beauty pageants, he also established Escuela Supermiss, a training school for aspiring beauty queens in Chile and Argentina. Applications are now open for Miss Universo Argentina 2023. Argentinian nationals, 18 to 27 years, mothers, and pregnant women with any marital status are welcome to apply. The transgender beauty and advocate for the rights of her own community made history by qualifying as one of the contestants in one most prestigious national pageants in Puerto Rico. India's first Miss Universe winner Sushmita Sen went to social media to share her ordeal with a heart attack earlier last week. In her post, she revealed undergoing angioplasty which is a procedure used to open blocked coronary arteries caused by coronary artery disease. Talking about the good news following her big heart's life-threatening experience, she said "all is well and I am ready for some life again." The former beauty queen turned famous actress also shared wise words from her father, "Keep your heart happy and courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona." Teen Universe 2023 is Mariana García of Mexico

Teen Universe Mexico, Mariana García, was crowned Teen Universe 2023 in a glittering final gala held on Tuesday, February 28 at the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío in Madrid, Spain. The 17-year-old business owner and advocate of Mas Vida foundation from Nayarit, Mexico succeeded last year's winner from the USA, Morgan Claycomb. She became the second Mexican representative to win the international pageant. Vanessa Smith of the USA and Carlota Pop of Spain were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. In addition to the crown, Mariana also bagged the Best in National Costume award wearing the beautiful creation of Mexican designer Paco Gaona. Her costume called "Arcoíris" means rainbow and was inspired by Guerrero's low mountain, a state on Mexico's Pacific coast where the designer came from. Miss Eco Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Ha bested over 40 other contestants to win Miss Eco International 2023 on Friday, March 3 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo. The 19-year-old beauty from Ben Tre Province succeeded last year's winner from the Philippines, Kathleen Paton. She is the first Vietnamese representative to win the Egypt-based international competition. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up from Nigeria, Odum Nnena, second runner-up from Mauritius, Yuvna Gookool, third runner-up from Cambodia, Ratana Sokhavatey, and fourth runner-up from Ecuador, Génesis Guerrero Cabrera. The representatives from Brazil, Belarus, Paraguay, USA, Venezuela, and Costa were the rest of the Top 11 while Malaysia, Mexico, Egypt, Australia, Belgium, Nepal, China, Philippines, Panama and South Africa completed the Top 21 semifinalists.
