Ahtisa Manalo to represent Quezon Province at Miss Universe Philippines 2024

Miss International 2018 first runner-up Maria Ahtisa Manalo has been officially revealed as Miss Universe Philippines - Quezon Province 2024 on Saturday, January 27. The 26-year-old beauty will now represent Quezon Province in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition. No stranger to pageantry, Ahtisa joined Binibinig Pilipinas 2018 where she clinched the Binibining Pilipinas International (Miss International Philippines) title. She went on to compete in Miss International 2018 which was held in Tokyo, Japan, and finished as first runner-up to Venezuela's Mariem Velazco. This year's Miss Universe Philippines will be the first edition to be held with contestants chosen by local pageants under the pageant's Accredited Partners Program. Maria Gigante appointed as Universal Woman Philippines 2024

Maria Gigante has been officially appointed as Universal Woman Philippines 2024 and will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Universal Woman 2024 competition. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur from Cebu will be the first-ever Filipina representative in the international competition. No stranger to pageantry, Maria was a contestant at Binibining Pilipinas 2016. She also participated in Miss World Philippines 2022 where she placed in the Top 11 and bagged the Non-Fungible Beauty Award and Best in Creative Editorial and Fashion Photo. The Universal Woman 2024 final will be held on March 24 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Marcela Miranda to represent Guatemala at the 71st Miss World

Marcela Miranda has been officially appointed as Miss World Guatemala 2023 and will represent her country in the upcoming 71st Miss World competition. The 20-year-old is an accountant by profession and currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in commerce and international relations. She speaks English and Spanish. Marcela is also a professional dancer in Latin, modern, and classical genres and is expected to showcase her talent during the 71st Miss World Talent competition. She was part of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team for 14 years and is currently a rhythmic gymnastics coach. For her Beauty with a Purpose project "Moving to Heal," she teaches rhythmic gymnastics to girls who have been victims of abuse and provides a safe space for them to feel liberated and motivated. Fabiola Calvo appointed as Miss Asia Pacific Costa Rica 2024

Fabiola Calvo has been officially announced as Miss Asia Pacific Costa Rica 2024 and will represent her country at the next Miss Asia Pacific International competition. The 28-year-old is a professional nurse, entrepreneur, activist, and health advocate. She is no stranger to pageantry, having placed in the Top 10 at Miss Costa Rica 2016 and Top 5 at Miss Costa Rica 2023. Fabiola also held the title Miss America Latina Costa Rica 2019 and went on to compete in Miss America Latina 2019 where she placed in the Top 5. It has yet to be announced when and where the next Miss Asia Pacific International edition will be held. The international pageant was last held in 2019 with Spain's Chaiyenne Huisman winning the title in Pasay City, Philippines. Naturalized Japanese with Ukrainian roots, Karolina Shiino, was crowned Miss Japan 2024 (Miss Nippon) on Monday, January 22 in Tokyo. The 26-year-old model has made headlines around the world after winning her title as she is the first-ever caucasian woman to become Miss Japan in the pageant's 56-year history. Her victory ignited an online debate with many questioning the results, saying her win was "inappropriate" as "Miss Japan should be genetically Japanese." In a post on social media, Karolina thanked everyone who supported her journey to winning the national competition. She also shared how the past few months leading to the final allowed her to learn more about Japanese culture. The Miss International 2024 competition has been announced to be held on November 12 in Tokyo, Japan. This year's pageant will mark the 62nd edition of the Japan-based international beauty pageant. Tokyo first hosted Miss International in 1968 after being held in the USA since its inauguration in 1960. The pageant has already been held in the Japanese capital numerous times including last year's remarkable show. As of today, a few national winners have been crowned so far and further details including the final venue have yet to be officially revealed. MEXICO CITY — The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) and its owner, the Thailand-based JKN Global Group, are excited to announce a new partnership with Mexican business conglomerate Legacy Holding. According to a press release on Tuesday, January 23, this strategic investment for growth will build the brand’s international profile and allow for new product and marketing opportunities, in the global market. Longtime pageant fan Raul Rocha Cantú, Legacy Holding's board president and CEO, joins JKN Global’s founder and CEO Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip as co-owner of the merged, privately-held company JKN Legacy. Germany's Julia Schnelle was crowned Mrs. World 2023 on Sunday, January 21 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada. The 38-year-old medical doctor hailing from Niestetal bested more than 30 other competitors to win the international title. She succeeds Mrs. World 2022 Sargam Koushal of India. Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has officially auditioned for CNB Ecuador 2024 (Miss Universe Ecuador 2024). The 31-year-old is a lawyer, mother, and currently the president of the Miss Earth Ecuador organization. Following Olga Alava who clinched Ecuador's first Miss Earth title in 2011, Katherine won Miss Earth 2016 among 83 contestants at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines.
