Binibining Pilipinas 2023, the 59th edition of one of the most prestigious and oldest-running national beauty pageants in the world, is taking place tonight at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum. Hosted by former queens Catriona Gray, Nicole Cordoves, and Mary Jean Lastimosa, the grand coronation night will broadcast live from "the Big Dome" on ABS-CBN's channels, iWantTFC, and the official Binibining Pilipinas Youtube channel  from 9:30 p.m. local time. Binibining Pilipinas 2023 is just around the corner and former Miss Universe Catriona Gray is ready to "servvv" as she hosts the much-awaited event this Sunday. The Binibining Pilipinas alumna will be hosting the national pageant for the third time since 2021 with her sister queen and former Miss Grand Philippines Nicole Cordoves. In a post on social media, Catriona shared their latest photoshoot inspired by global icons Cher and Raquel Welch performing "I'm A Woman" in the 70s. Fresh from her trip to Vietnam, the reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg arrived in Manila, Philippines on Thursday, May 25 for her first official visit to the country. The beauty queen will be attending as a special guest in the upcoming 59th edition of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant where the next representative of the Philippines for Miss International will be crowned. Upon her arrival at Novotel Manila in Araneta City, Jasmin met the reigning queens of Binibining Pilipinas and also reunited with former Miss International Philippines Hannah Arnold, a Top 15 semifinalist during last year's Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan. Miss Bohol, Pauline Amelinckx was officially crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2023 following Saturday's final of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant in Pasay City. The 27-year-old Filipino-Belgian and a proud Boholana beauty will now represent the Philippines at Miss Supranational 2023 in Nowy Sącz, Poland this July. No stranger to pageantry, she won Miss Bohol 2017 and went on to participate in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 where she clinched the title Mutya ng Pilipinas Global Beauty Queen 2018. Pauline joined Miss Universe Philippines three times. She was third runner-up during her first attempt in 2020 and was proclaimed Miss Universe Philippines Charity (third place) when she returned last year. Miss Makati, Michelle Marquez Dee bested 37 other competitors to win Miss Universe Philippines 2023 on Saturday, May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 28-year-old actress and model won the national title in her second attempt. She will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador later this year. Christine Juliane Opiaza of Zamables was named first runner-up while Mary Angelique Manto of Pampanga finished as second runner-up. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel touches down in the Philippines

Filipino-American R'Bonney Gabriel arrived to a warm welcome in the Philippines on Wednesday, May 10 for her first visit to the country as reigning Miss Universe. Paula Shuggart, president of the Miss Universe Organization, and soon-to-be-resigned talent director Esther Swan accompanied her on this official trip. The Thai business mogul and owner of MUO from Thailand, Anne Jakrajutatip, arrived a few days ago. R'Bonney was invited as a special guest to the upcoming grand coronation night of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant this Saturday. Before heading to the luxurious hotel Okada Manila, Miss Universe 2022 gave interviews to members of the press who waited for her at the international airport in Manila. The beauty queen was also beaming with smiles as she posed for photographs with fans, supporters, and her proud parents.
