Miss Universe 2025 competition kicks off in Bangkok, Thailand

The 74th Miss Universe pageant has officially commenced in Bangkok, Thailand, as over 120 beauties from across the world gather to vie for the most coveted crown. Clad in their arrival ensembles, the contestants were escorted to the Chatrium Hotel & Residence Riverside Bangkok, one of the official accommodations for this year's event. Following their arrivals, among the initial official activities lined up for the contestants were registrations, photoshoots, fittings, and rehearsals for the grand finale. The upcoming two weeks of the competition promise thrilling experiences, including a city tour of Bangkok and an exciting trip to Phuket and Pattaya City. Miss Universe 2025 will reach its climax with a much-anticipated final show on November 21 at Impact Arena, where the reigning Miss Universe, Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark, will crown her successor. Chayathanus "Cheraim" Saradatta from Thailand was crowned The Miss Globe 2025 on Wednesday, October 15 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, Albania. The 31-year-old model of Hiananese-Chinese descent bested 49 other contestants to win the international beauty title. She also bagged the People's Choice award. Valentina Gegprifti of Albania was named first runner-up while Samantha Sarelli of the USA, Jolien Pede of Belgium, and Jennifer Chang of Cuba were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Annabelle McDonnel of the Philippines, Adriana Bautista of Mexico, Dela Deniya of Indonesia, Mikal Tesfay of Eritrea, Keitty Familia of the Dominican Republic, and Lea Marzu Backhaus of Saint Lucia made the Top 11. Namnuea Waree Ngamkham was crowned Miss Earth Thailand 2025 on Sunday, August 31 at Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok. The 26-year-old fashion model from Chiang Rai bested nine other contestants to win the national title. Natasha Patson Davies, Love Surangkana Khunnen, Unging Sathita Jansuwan, Pin Suchanan Wongcurewan were crowned Miss Earth Land, Fire, Water and Air, respectively. The new Miss Earth Thailand will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Earth 2025 pageant in the Philippines this November. Namnuea succeeded last year's winner Rachadawan Fowler who made the Top 20 at Miss Earth. Veena Praveenar Singh crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2025

Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Praewwanich Ruangthong of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and Naruemol Phimphakdee of Phuket were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Kamonporn Thongphon of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Amandine Grasset of Pathum Thani rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Tonight, 77 contestants representing various Thai provinces will compete for the coveted title of Miss Universe Thailand 2025. Hosted by TV presenter Matthew Deane and former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, the highly anticipated national pageant will be held at MGI Hall in Bangkok. Live streaming will be available on Grand TV official YouTube channel from 7 p.m. local time. Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand beat 107 other contestants to be crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday, May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The 22-year-old beauty has made history for her country as she became the first-ever Thai woman to win the prestigious title. She also won the multimedia fast track challenge. Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia, Maja Klajda from Poland, and Aurélie Joachim from Martinique were announced the first, second, and third, runners-up, respectively. Chotnapa Kaewjarun was crowned Miss Thailand 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at MCC Hall, The Mall Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 25-year-old model representing Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya bested over 40 other contestants to win the beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner Panida Kernjinda of Chiang Mai. Pornchanit Sucharitakul of Pathum Thani and Kirana Youthong of Nonthaburi were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. No stranger to pageantry, Opal was previously crowned Miss Universe Thailand and went to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico where she finished as the third runner-up. "I am deeply honored to be standing here as your new Miss World Thailand. Carrying not only the crown and the sash, i carry with me the hopes and the spirit of my people, my nation," she said during her speech. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Before the exciting announcement, several countries were mentioned as possible hosts including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Philippines.
