70th Miss World Karolina Bielawska visits the Philippines

Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska touched down in Manila, Philippines on Wednesday, September 20 for her first official visit to the country. She was accompanied by Miss World CEO and Chairperson Julia Morley as they were welcomed at the Ninoy Aquino International Aiport by Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyne Fourniol and national director Arnold Vegafria. According to the Miss World Philippines Organization, Karolina will stay in the country from September 20 to 23 for various engagements, particularly the Beauty With A Purpose mission. The 70th Miss World stopped by Hong Kong before her long-awaited trip to the Philippines. She said: "I have always wanted to visit the Philippines. This is one of my dreams." Bangladesh to debut at Miss International with Farzana Yasmin Ananna

Farzana Yasmin Ananna was recently crowned Miss International Bangladesh 2023 and she will be the first representative of her country at Miss International. The 23-year-old model, politician, and women and gender studies graduate will soon travel to Tokyo, Japan to compete in the 61st Miss International pageant. Farzana lost her mother just a few hours before winning her national title. In a post on social media, she shared: "Even amidst my struggles, I'm determined. I am on the brink of making history as the first-ever Bangladeshi to grace the Miss International stage." Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 is Brooke Bruk-Jackson

Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you for your kind messages and support," shared the new Miss Universe Zimbabwe. Former Miss Grand Angola, Teresa Sara, was crowned Miss International Angola 2023 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, September 16 in Luanda. The 26-year-old model, social volunteer, philanthropist, and lawyer received her crown from Stephany Amado, Miss International 2022 first runner-up from Cape Verde. No stranger to pageantry, Teresa took part in Miss Universe Angola 2022 where she represented Zaire and placed in the Top 10. She was then appointed to compete in the 10th Miss Grand International pageant last October in Indonesia. Former Miss Universe Cambodia, Alyna Somnang, has been officially appointed by the Miss Cambodia organization as Miss International Cambodia 2023. The 22-year-old model and actress who is currently pursuing her MBA degree in international relations will represent her country at the 61st Miss International pageant. No stranger to pageantry, Alyna was previously crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2019 and went on to participate in the 68th Miss Universe which was held in Georgia, USA. The new Miss International Cambodia is an advocate for education who has been actively promoting the importance of staying in school during her various community projects since 2019. She wants to encourage the youth to study hard and achieve their dreams to break the chain of poverty. Madison Ramsingh has been officially appointed by the Miss USVI organization to represent the US Virgin Islands at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant. The 20-year-old baton twirling champion was crowned Miss USVI 2023 during the national pageant which was attended by former Miss Earth Destiny Wagner from Belize in May. Born on the island of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Madison is the second of three siblings and considers herself a vibrant, ambitious, and self-motivated woman. She is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in kinesiology at Hampton University in Virginia, USA. Her future ambition is to develop a meaningful and lasting career as an athletic trainer in the field of professional sports. Emmy Gisclon was crowned Miss Centre-Val de Loire 2023 during the regional competition held on Sunday, September 17 at the Dreux Exhibition Center. The 22-year-old student from Chambray-lès-Tours bested 13 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner Coraline Lerasle and will represent the region of Centre-Val de Loire at Miss France 2024. The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant has officially kicked off in an official press conference held on Monday, September 18 at the Lotte Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Eighteen contestants selected to compete for this year's title have been officially introduced to the media — Huong Ly, Emma Le, Lydie Vu, Lan Anh, Diem My, Kim Anh, Quynh Nhu, Le Nam, Anh Nguyet, Mai Phuong Thao, Nhat Le, Dinh Thi Hoa, Bui Quynh Hoa, Pham Thu, Thu Uyên, Ngoc Mai, Hong Dang, and Lan Anh va H'Duyen. A new crown called "Life in the Sunrise" by Jessica Jewelry was also unveiled during the special event. It was crafted with natural topaz and sapphire, and worth over 2 billion Vietnamese dong. Meet Miss Universe Korea 2023 Kim So-yoon

Kim So-yoon was crowned Miss Universe Korea 2023 in a national competition that took place last August 27 in Seoul. The 28-year-old beauty from Gyeongnam succeeded last year's titleholder Hanna Kim and will represent Korea at the 72 Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this November. Over 30 contestants took part in this year's glittering event which was hosted at the Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts. Korea has yet to win the Miss Universe title since joining the prestigious pageant for the first time in 1954. Its highest achievement so far was first runner-up in 1988 with Jang Yoon-jeong. The country's last placement was third runner-up in 2007 with Honey Lee. Kim Thitisan Goodburn bested 35 other competitors to win Mister International 2023 on Sunday, September 17 at the Crystal Design Center Ballroom (CDC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The 24-year-old Thai-British model and actor from Thailand also bagged the Best in National Costume award. He succeeds last year's winner Manu Franco from the Dominican Republic. William Badell of Venezuela and Edward Taiye Ogunniya of Brazil were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Lucas Schlachter of France and Shashwat Dwivedi of India rounded out the Top 5 finalists.
