The Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 (Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024) final will be held this Sunday, May 5 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. Eighteen contestants representing various places and international communities of the Dominican Republic are vying for the national title. One of them will succeed last year's winner Mariana Downing and will represent the Caribbean nation at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico this November. Helen Morales was crowned Miss International Guatemala 2024 during the Miss Guatemala 2024 final on Wednesday, May 1 at Teatro Dick Smith in Guatemala City. The 26-year-old representative of Izabal succeeds last year's titleholder  María Ranee Díaz . She will travel to Tokyo, Japan for Miss International 2024 in November. Reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio from Venezuela was among the special guests at the glittering national competition. Guatemala first and last won the Miss International pageant 40 years ago, in 1984 with Ilma Urrutia. The country's last placement was in 1993 when Diana Lucrecia Galván Flores made it to the Top 10. The Miss Universe Curacao 2024 final coronation will be held on May 25 at Sandals Royal Curacao in Willemstad. A total of 10 beauties are currently vying for the national title. One of them will succeed last year's winner  Kim Rossen  who participated in Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador. The next Miss Universe Curacao will represent the Dutch Caribbean island at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico later this year. Who will win this year's crown? Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri touched down in the Philippines on Thursday, May 2 for her first official visit since winning Miss Earth 2023 last December in Vietnam. The Albanian beauty will be joined by her elemental court Cora Bliault from Thailand, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines. According to the Miss Earth organization, they will be in the Philippines until May 12 to take part in the promotion of heritage and eco-tourism of the country. The queens will have a media conference on May 7 at Brittany Hotel in Villar City, Cavite, and will be gracing the Miss Philippines Earth 2024 grand coronation on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. Jeymi Escobedo was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2024 during the glittering Miss Guatemala 2024 final on Wednesday, May 1 at Teatro Dick Smith in Guatemala City. The 18-year-old, representing the department of Suchitepéquez, succeeds  Marcela Miranda and will now prepare to represent Guatemala at the 72nd Miss World. Also crowned during the event were the representatives of the country for Miss International 2024, Miss Grand International 2024, and Reina Hispanoamericana 2024. The title Miss International Guatemala 2024 went to Helen Morales while Cristina Gonzalo and Elizabeth Blanco were the Miss Grand Guatemala 2024 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2024, respectively. From Bangkok, Thailand, the reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua continues her Asia Tour in the Philippines. Wearing a fuchsia one-shoulder dress, the beauty queen arrived on Wednesday, May 1 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via Philippine Airlines. This is Sheynnis' first official visit to the Philippines since she was crowned the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) last November in El Salvador.
