Miss Earth 2023 Drita Ziri arrives in the Philippines


Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri touched down in the Philippines on Thursday, May 2 for her first official visit since winning Miss Earth 2023 last December in Vietnam.

The Albanian beauty will be joined by her elemental court Cora Bliault from Thailand, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines.

According to the Miss Earth organization, they will be in the Philippines until May 12 to take part in the promotion of heritage and eco-tourism of the country.

The queens will have a media conference on May 7 at Brittany Hotel in Villar City, Cavite, and will be gracing the Miss Philippines Earth 2024 grand coronation on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon.

Miss Universe Belarus 2024 is Karyna Kisialiova

Belarus is set to debut at the Miss Universe pageant this year with newly crowned Miss Universe Belarus 2024 Karyna Kisialiova. The 27-year-old pageant veteran bested six other finalists to win the national competition on Saturday, September 28 in Minsk. Laura Bircher was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2024 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, September 28 at the Kursaal Arena in Bern. The 23-year-old mental health advocate from Stans succeeds last year's winner Lorena Santen and will now prepare to represent Switzerland at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Barbara Suter and Nadiya Karplyuk were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. 81-year-old model Choi Soon-hwa joins Miss Universe Korea 2024

Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Korea 2024 final will be held on September 30 and the winner will head to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024 this November. Nora Kenez edged out 11 other contestants to win Miss Universe Hungary 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 28 at the Budapest Operetta Theater. The 28-year-old pharmacist and freelance model from Szombathely will represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Ofir Natalie Korsia was crowned Miss Universe Israel 2024 in a national competition held on Sunday, September 29 at the Hilton Aventura Miami in Florida. The 23-year-old actress, dancer, and model from Rishon LeZion will now prepare to represent Israel at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. This year's event marked the return of Israel to the Miss Universe pageant after a 2-year hiatus. A total of eight contestants competed for the crown. It was organized under the new national director Edgar Saakyan of Edgar Entertainment (USA), in partnership with Blue Ocean Venture Funds. Miss Orb International 2024 is Fernanda Fernández from Costa Rica

Costa Rica's very own Fernanda Fernández was crowned Miss Orb International 2024 on Monday, September 30 in San José, Costa Rica. The 23-year-old fashion model bested 14 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Camila Canto from Mexico. Andreina Quintero from Venezuela and Rebecca Drouin from Canada were first and second runners-up, respectively. Xiadani Saucedo from Mexico and Allison Ojeda from Puerto Rico rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 10 were from Bolivia, Anabel Guzman, Colombia, Maria Camila Medrano, El Salvador, Eva Barrera, Guatemala, Verónica Mejía and USA, Azalia Arredondo. Christine Juliane Opiaza was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2024 on Sunday, September 29 at the  Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila. The 25-year-old host, model and runway coach from Castillejos, Zambales beat 19 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Nikki de Moura of Cagayan de Oro and will now represent the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2025 in Thailand this October. The 23-year-old communications graduate and television host representing Diriamba bested 9 other competitors to win the national title.
