The Miss Czech Republic 2024 grand final will be held this Saturday, May 11 at Forum Karlín in Prague. A total of 10 finalists will be competing for the national title. The winner is expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss World. This year's event to be hosted by Ondrej Novotny will be the 15th anniversary edition of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Former winner and Czech Republic's first Miss World Taťána Kuchařová will join CEO Taťána Makarenko and Creative Director Sam Dolce on the selection committee. Justýna Zedníková, last year's winner who was recently appointed Miss Supranational Czech Republic 2024 , is expected to crown her successor at the end of the event. The Miss Czech Republic organization also holds the license to send representatives for Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International and Miss Intercontinental pageants. Fresh from her trip to the Philippines, Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios arrived in India on Wednesday, April 8 to continue her Asia Tour. The Nicaraguan beauty queen was warmly welcomed early in the morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi by the new Miss Universe India team. The national license for the Miss Universe pageant in India was previously held by Miss Diva under its parent organization, Femina Miss India. Since February this year, it was taken over by the Glamanand Group with owner Nikhil Anand as the new national director. An independent Miss Universe India organization was established. Sheynnis has now checked in at Le Méridien, a 5-star hotel in New Delhi. She is expected to stay in the incredible country until May 9. The Miss Namibia Organization (MNO) has officially announced Albertina Haimbala as Namibia's representative for Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Albertina, a 24-year-old marketing management graduate, was the first runner-up at Miss Namibia 2023. She was previously designated to participate in the 72nd Miss World. According to the MNO, the Miss World organization now strictly enforces its standing rule that only the national winner can participate in the Miss World competition. The rule also stipulates that the first runner-up can only participate when the national winner is unable to and/or incapacitated. CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said: "There are rules and requirements that we have no control over, including the postponement of international beauty pageants. Hence, as license franchise holders, we must abide by them." The winners of the annual Miss Namibia pageant are usually sent to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth. The swimsuit competition of the Miss Philippines Earth 2024 pageant was held on Saturday, May 4 at the Malitbog Cultural Center in Malitbog, Bukidnon. The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 talent competition was held on Sunday, May 5 at Northern Highlands Resort in Buru-un, Iligan City. Hosted by former Miss Earth Karla Henry and Mister Continental International Tourism 2018 Erik Karcher, the event showcased the incredible talents of this year's contestants. Maya Dmitri was crowned Miss International Sri Lanka 2024 in a special ceremony held on Sunday, May 5 at the Mövenpick Hotel in Colombo. The 20-year-old model and software engineering student will now prepare to represent her country at Miss International 2024 in  Tokyo, Japan this November. Reigning Puteri Indonesia Harashta Haifa Zahra has been officially designated by the Puteri Indonesia organization as Miss Supranational Indonesia 2024. The 20-year-old environmental engineering student was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2024 while representing Jawa Barat (West Java) in Jakarta last March. She will represent Indonesia at Miss Supranational 2024 to be held in Nowy Sącz, Poland this July. Her runners-up Sophie Kirana, Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari, and Melati Tedja were awarded the titles Miss International Indonesia, Miss Cosmo Indonesia, and Miss Charm Indonesia 2024, respectively.
